Chances are that your team did not win the SB last season (whatev GIANTS fans). Tell me (WITH PICS) why your team is gonna have a better chance this season to win it all. Also little comments under the pics are strongly encouraged.

EDIT : Repping all who post pics + explanation of why each player will benefit your team this year.

Asante Samuel, always loved the guy and i think hes still a big difference maker. With him and grimes at CB position and Daunte Robinson at Nickle ... our secondary could be one of the best in the league.

Rey Edwards didnt do much last season but he was playing hurt after the knee surgery. This season he is 100% and playing for the new genius DC Mike Nolan. Heck just the fact that we got Mike Nolan (aggressive ) DC coach is putting a smile on my face, Let the sacks come.

Lost the 2nd best MLB in football and it had a devastating impact on the defense. Getting him back alone will do wonders.

DROY. Beast. Brings consistency to a LB corps that hasn't seen a completely healthy season in like 3 years.

Joe Adams

This is my homer/bold prediction pick. Will lead all returners in avg yards per return and will give the Panthers offense fantastic field position more often than not.

Ryan Mathews - His inability to stay healthy and losing Mike Tolbert in the offseason hurts us badly.
Donald Butler - Will continue to improve and have a pro-bowl type season.
Melvin Ingram - Getting to the QB will propel us to the playoffs and this rookie will have to play big for that to happen.

No time for pics.

This this this

Mathews will have a breakout year. No more pussy injuries, +1200 yard season.

And Ingram, finally a consistent pash rush. Looking for the D to finally step up this year along with Eric Weddle.
This is their defense(Srs).

49ers:

Alex Smith - For the 49ers to have success on offense Alex will have to step up. He played well last year and was actually quite big in big game situations but there are no more excuses. He has offensive continuity, the system and the OC. He has weapons to play with. I think he'll improve on last year but this offense only goes as far as he takes them. They can play safe and rely just on the running game but that won't get them far.

The patented calikid pic

Justin Smith - this guy is just a monster. Run or pass this guy is causing serious problems for offensive lines everywhere. What makes it even scarier these days? The guy playing behind him.

http://ww4.hdnux.com/photos/10/13/75/2146155/15/628x471.jpg

Aldon Smith - the guy playing behind Justin. Pass rush, pass rush, pass rush.

you guys knew this was coming....

http://nbcoutofbounds.files.wordpress.com/2011/12/aldonsmith.gif

Left out what some consider the obvious in Patrick Willis but as great as he is I think the pass rush that the two Smith's bring plays a bigger factor this year with all the top ranked passing teams the 49ers have to face. Plus Willis is just gonna Willis.

To Jaxbrah, Im worried about those guys man. Upshaw and Smith along with Terrence Cody are 3 young guys that have a lot of potential on that defense that look scary. Not looking forward to them meeting that potential either lol. As for the Steelers...

http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTchtos8llme1gImHG46RW-9i1n9qsBDbD0a7GT_qw2DPpxmy1JpQ

Emmanuel Sanders. I really think this could be his big year to break out for us. With Hines retired, and Wallace potentially holding out, Sanders has a good chance to play a lot in the slot and contribute. He has been injured a lot in his career including last year but I hope he can stay healthy and show off that great speed of his.

http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTwFyekhOs16WPvSfIyELmk-mP15C2NQW-Ddd3Y9eMfUIOMfFnJ

Lawrence Timmons. With Farrior gone, he is gonna need to step up even more and take more leadership into his game. He is really fast and is a tackling machine, I just wanna see better coverage skills that I know he can produce on a consistent basis.

http://cdn0.sbnation.com/photo_images/7389505/20120612_kdl_al8_075.jpg

David Decastro/Mike Adams These were our 1st and 2nd pick of the draft and can bring a lot to the offense if they can produce early. With these two, plus Pouncey and Gilbert, the Steeler O-Line can be a young strength which they havent had in years. I really like both these picks and hope these guys can succeed and succeed early. The last thing we need is Ben getting hit a lot like last year.

Giants fans still get to play right?

http://i2.cdn.turner.com/si/2011/fantasy/12/16/fantasy-football-defense/pierre-paul.jpg

JPP is a monster. Last season was only his SECOND year in the league and the guy had 16 sacks. See the first Dallas game for an example of the kind of dominance he's capable of: 2 sacks. a forced fumble, a safety, a blocked punt. Playing on a line that still has Tuck, Osi, and promising guys like Austin will only make it easier for him.

http://cbsnewyork.files.wordpress.com/2012/05/david-wilson.jpg?w=300

Pic is of David Wilson but it's really everyone behind Bradshaw, including Scott, Ware, etc. As good as Jacobs was in 2008, he had fallen off hard and his tip-toeing plus the Giants lack of a physical offensive line last year = 32nd ranked running game. The 32nd ranked running game in 2011 isn't likely to get it done again in 2012. Wilson is a speedster who represents a REAL change of pace back for the first time since... well, 2008 maybe (when the Giants had Ward).

http://cdn2.sbnation.com/imported_assets/401461/hakeem_nicks--300x300.jpg

Hakeem Nicks gets very little publicity when people talk about "top 5" receivers, and maybe he's not there yet, but he's squarely put himself in the next group under. His numbers compare favorably against most receivers (76 receptions, 1192 yards, 7 TDs and 28 receptions, 444 yards, 4 TDs in the playoffs) and he can hurt teams vertically and over the middle. Plus, and while not strictly NFL-related, he's proven to be a guy who'll give them great production on the field and not cause headaches off the field... which is more than you can say about the other receivers in his draft class: Bey, Crabtree, Britt, Wallace, etc.

OP has the team covered. love this time of year. everybody has their apirations of at LEAST a better team. at the end of the day, thats what we fans like to see.

i would like to reiterate that i do love the fact that dunta is no longer outside. he moves inside and gives us more flexibility in our defensive strategy. if our LBs can be solid, i say we're good to go. dent/peterson/anybody step up and play with SPOON. and ray edwards better bring that shiet. we no longer want to see just abraham doing work

The future goat Andrew Luck

http://i.usatoday.net/sports/_photos/2012/08/12/Colts-take-first-step-in-turning-team-around-GO227LH7-x-large.jpg

Debut year of the future of our franchise.

http://www.football.draft-hub.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Coby-Fleener_112611_BD_33.jpg

Coby Fleener- every great QB needs a favorite target and he should be Luck's, I look for him and Luck to become the greatest QB to TE duo of all time, easily.

http://prod.static.colts.clubs.nfl.com/assets/images/imported/IND/article-images/2012/camp/allen-dwayne-02.jpg

Dwayne Allen- well if you're going to put the future of your franchise on your #1 draft pick, you might as well bring in some young talent for him to get chemistry with, Allen joins Fleener in what will be the best TE Duo in the league in 3 or 4 years.

Sorry to Dwight Freeney, Antoine Bethea, Reggie Wayne and Robert Mathis, but even with you 4 we're not making the playoffs this year, so as a developmental year, I gave these 3 the position of impact players.

Loving the responses so far.

Feel like i am actually learning alot about other teams....

Will rep all who posted pics and explanation why that player will be a difference maker this year.

Pics are nice but if you didnt put explenation for some i wonder "OK what will be different this year then the previous year" .. For example Curry Tech posted Mark Sanchez and i am wondering why he will be better then previous years. Same thing with the guy that posted Antonio Gates and Rivers

Seahawks

1) T.O: Say what you want, he's a talented big fast reciever in a core with little substance. He'll get attention and thus make a difference

2) Red Bryant: Makes it very hard to play run offense against us and is why we did so well against the Ravens.

3) Bruce Irvin: There's room on this pass rush to get your sacks, and he's skilled and fast.

I thought about that for my response but there isn't any one or three players for the Giants that are putting them over the top. (Ignoring that they were at the top already in 2011-12). Giants are counting on the continued maturation of guys like JPP, Nicks, Cruz, the continuity of guys like Eli as he settles into his prime, and hopefully the quick development of promising youngsters like Prince, David Wilson, Hosley, Randle, etc.

But that's really no different from any other team. :D

1) Drew Brees - He's the best QB in the game right now.

2) Jimmy Graham - #1 receiver of the best QB. This dude has raw talent and knows how to use it. Expect a TD from this man in the Bowl, IN OUR HOUSE!!!

3) Mark Ingram & Chris Ivory - They add so much to the offense, they can pick up where PT leaves off!!!

Unfortunatly the one who has influnced my Saints the most is Commish Gotohell. His overbearing dictatorship & secracy in the bounty-gate rivals Eric Holder in corruptness. F' him!!!

Reps for fellow colts fan but i have to disagree with one of your picks.

http://a.espncdn.com/photo/2012/0806/nfl_a_dallen_jh_400.jpg
If you've been following the camp, dwayne allen has been doing much better than fleener apparently (much better blocking, and the colts may run a little more) plus it was allen's block that helped donald brown get that touchdown in the first play yesterday. Fleener had a couple of drops yesterday. I know he was Luck's fav target in Stanford, but this year i think may be a little different because Luck has better WRs than he did in Stanford (Wayne, Collie, Cosby, and heck, even Donald Brown would be a nice target out of the backfield)

So i'd go with Andrew Luck, Dwayne Allen (for his blocking), and Cory Redding.

http://cdn2.sbnation.com/entry_photo_images/5007542/20120812_kdl_ss1_089_extra_large.jpg
Andrew luck apparently since hes the #1 overall pick and in charge of the offense. Some of his "hurry-up" offense yesterday showed me that he has complete control of the offense and i like that

http://elyriact.smugmug.com/Journalism/Browns-Sept-26/BrownsRavensFootballctnewschro/1024242087_tTcBD-M.jpg
Cory Redding is a big piece in the new 3-4 defense. He knows Pagano's defense and can help others out. Hes one of the better pickups they had this off-season and he's known to be very enthusiastic (pumping players up, the "hype" man, etc.) Hopefully he can draw some double teams. but I believe his experience in Pagano's 3-4 defense will help us out the most.

Different, as in from last years squad?

In that case i could just say Eric Berry, Jamaal Charles, and Tony Moeaki.

But Ill list these 3:

Jonathan Baldwin, because defenses will longer be able to double-team Dwayne Bowe every game.

http://cdn1.sbnation.com/imported_assets/1153570/oR4qI.gif

Eric Winston, because we replaced arguably the worst starting RT in the NFL with one of the best. On only the 2nd possession of him in a Chiefs uniform, he blasted a massive hole for a 28-yard Peyton Hillis rumble.

http://www.kcchiefs.com/assets/club-images/articles/03-march/winston.jpg

Rodney Hudson, As much as I loved Casey Wiegmann for his years of service it was time for him to go. he was listed at 280lbs, and that is generous. Hudson is 300lbs, and has the strength and ferocity that Wiegmann didn't. Wiegmann was a liability in short-yardage situations..

http://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/slides/photos/002/310/630/120184563_display_image.jpg?1339419002

While the Cardinals are no powerhouse, they do have a very good d-line. The addition of winston and hudson to our o-line was apparent early and often. Our o-line plowed open huge holes for Charles, Hillis, and Draughan, and matt cassel was never in danger of being sacked. We made a qb sneak on 4th and 1 look easy.

Agree with you OP but I'm a little more excited for Quizz than Edwards

Finally getting to use this guy in a real screen game + dump offs is going to be real nice. Hopefully he gets to carry the ball a good bit in the first 3 quarters and then we have Turner going into the 4th who has only touched the ball maybe 7-10 times in the first 3 as opposed to his typical 15-20 carries going into the 4th.

To Jaxbrah, Im worried about those guys man. Upshaw and Smith along with Terrence Cody are 3 young guys that have a lot of potential on that defense that look scary. Not looking forward to them meeting that potential either lol. As for the Steelers...

Lawrence Timmons. With Farrior gone, he is gonna need to step up even more and take more leadership into his game. He is really fast and is a tackling machine, I just wanna see better coverage skills that I know he can produce on a consistent basis.

Decastro and Adams playing as scouts expect them to is my worst nightmare brah. Your oline was the one glaring weakness the ravens could exploit.

I got tired of searching for pics on my phone. But the 3rd guy i was gonna add was Sergio Kindle.

He was one of the best pass rushers in the draft a few years ago and then crackes his skull. Hes finally ready to take the field this year and suddenly gives the ravens a massive amount of pass rush potential even without suggs

1a/b) Our 2 first round picks will be pivotal to turn this defense into the BB defense of old. Everybody remembers the great secondary's we used to have with guys like Ty Law, Milloy, Rodney, Assante Samuel, Ottis etc. People also have to remember backers like Bruschi, Johnson, Vrable, Phifer, McGinest, and Colvin. The NFL has evolved into a pass first league but the top of the AFC is full of good running games with teams like the Texans and Ravens. More of a 43 scheme has been employed in training camp with a lot of emphasis on the multiple defensive backs being used. The defense is faster and more aggressive. Chandler Jones playing right end whooped a pro bowl LT's ass in Bushrod with multiple holding calls and multiple pressures. He showed freakish length and good power driving bushrod into Drew Brees' lap. He was solid against the run and showed good closing speed chasing down chase Daniel's as he scrambled out of the pocket towards the first down marker. It's still way too early to tell but this "project" is looking way ahead of where many projected him to be and is primed to make a huge impact this season.

Don'ta Hightower is came out as one of the most NFL ready linebackers and playing in Nick Saban's defense played a big part of that. He's a big hitting linebacker with above average coverage ability. He diagnoses quickly and is an extremely talented blitzer. As he gets more comfortable at this level he might be the best linebacker in what might be the most talented linebacking core in the AFC. He also allows former DROY and probowler Jerod Mayo to play weakside and rack up the tackles and make plays in the open field like the one he did staying with sproles an out-route and tackling im before he reached the marker on a 3rd down.

http://sportsofboston.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/010711_McCourtyROY.jpg

DMac looks to be returning back to his rookie form and if he can do that a long with Ras-I dowling the secondary will be much improved. Last year he struggled playing press man getting burned terribly on multiple occasions. As he gets more comfortable playing Man and playing effectively his ball skills will allow him to make plays as guys get to the QB quicker and balls come out before they're supposed to.

http://www.patriots.com/assets/images/articles/photos-for-articles/330-nate-solder.jpg

Got his ass beat against will smith in the first preseason game. If he continues that type of play he will have to be moved to RT. He is taking over for the Retired Matt Light in what is the most important position a long the offensive line. Working with the best offensive line coach in football IMO he should make the necessary technical corrections to allow him to be the franchise LT he was drafted to be. An offensive line is only as good as its weakest link and when Vollmer and Waters(hopefully) return he will be the biggest question mark on the line. If he excels the Patriots will continue to have one of the top 3 offensive lines in football and give Brady the time to put up record numbers with Gronk, Herandez, LLoyd and Welker.

2. Matt Schaub - phaggot needs to stay healthy. he can be a productive quarterback when healthy. i'll let him get to the playoffs and play in a playoff game and then judge his ability to win in the postseason

3. Kareem Jackson- phaggot needs to improve NOW. can't be making mistakes against guys like packers and patriots and several other teams with qb's that will rape your angus

A guy who is going to miss at least 3 weeks of the season with a broken Clavicle? OK.

Yah thats what i was saying earlier its pointless to just post pics of guys who have already been with the team forever.

YES ITS POSSIBLE TO POST IT BUT ATLEAST explain why those players are going to be better this year then they were last year.

FOR EXAMPLE ....Its been known that Matt Ryan has been in the gym trying to bulk up/get stronger in order to IMPROVE his long ball so i could have posted his picture. Now if i posted his picture alone people would be wondering...wtf hes been w the team for few years now how is he gonna improve the team this year.... but if i put explanation then it would make sense.

This is why i am repping people that put pics + explanation...

Lawrence Vickers
New fullback who will provide some consistency in blocking and creating lanes for Demarco Murray. Our running backs had very strong games last year when our fullback was healthy, but now Vickers gives more strength, energy, and leadership. The team loves him already. When he was in Baltimore and Houston before coming here, he developed strong chemistry with their running backs and those RBs had excellent years with him.

http://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/slides/photos/002/333/088/Carr_display_image.jpg?1340069431

Morris Claiborne and Brandon Carr
Carr is physical and can allow our defense to run the way Rob Ryan designs it. The same is expected of Claiborne. Such an obvious step up from Terence Newman and the chaos that plagued our team all last year. The secondary overall is looking much, much stronger so far. Claiborne will probably have some growing pains as he'll likely be thrown to the wolves but I think he can handle it.

1. Brandon Graham
2. Derek Landri

QBs are gonna die this year. The Eagles are going to set the NFL sack record this season... They'll get 60+ from their defensive line alone. This is going to be crazy.

Devin McCourty: Had a sophomore slump last year but he's gonna be a shut down corner like he was in his rookie year.

Ras-I Dowling: Big corner at 6-1 210. He was injured all last year and Belicheck is really high on him and our biggest weakness was the defensive backfield.

Chandler Jones: Gonna be a beast. Balled out in the pre-season game. Gave Pro Bowl Tackle Jermon Bushrod a really hard time.

2. Jack Del Rio

3. Von Miller

No more cast on his hand, he's ready to get back to beasting like he did the first 10 games of last season before he broke his thumb. And he's going to show improvements in his 2nd year. I'm sure Del Rio has thought up some awesome creative ways to use him. He will be a serious DPOY candidate.

EDIT:

Since JDR isn't a player, my last guy will be:

4. Ty Warren

http://a.espncdn.com/combiner/i?img=/i/headshots/nfl/players/full/4471.png&w=350&h=254

He's not exactly a spring chicken, and he's been injured for 2 straight years. But all reports out of camp are that he's manhandling dudes. And he abused the Chicago offensive line (not really saying much) in our first preseason game. If he can wreak havoc in the middle, it will create a lot of possibilities for us as a defense, and shore up our biggest weakness from last season, which was defending the run. Hopefully he can replace what we lost with Bunkley leaving, plus add a little bit of pocket-collapsing gravy on top of it.

Kendall Wright: as much as I hate being cliche and using a first round draft pick, Kendall is going to need to step up and fill Kenny Britard's shoes this year for the Titans offense to be any decent. With Britt's ACL/MCL injury last year and his looming suspension, he will not be a factor for at least the beginning portion of the season. That's why Wright needs to grow up fast and replace Britt in the lineup. Nate Washington gon Nate, so we aren't expecting much.

http://cdn2.sbnation.com/entry_photo_images/5035263/150181527_extra_large.jpg

Chris Johnson: Titans fans like to use many excuses for last years crapfest by CJ. Some argue that the interior o-line was the worst in the league, others say CJ was out of shape from his holdout (and the lockout). What the reason was for last years disappointing season, CJ needs to regain his old form if the Titans want to have a rushing offense that isn't at the bottom of the league again.

http://www3.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Chris+Johnson+Tennessee+Titans+v+Seattle+Seahawks+ FDfxDMOyAMPl.jpg

Kamerion Wimbley: picking up Kam was a very under-publicized FA move this offseason, but I honestly don't know how he will fit in Jerry Gray's scheme as a DE. Gray likes to use huge DEs, not guys the size of a OLB. He hasn't played DE since college, and he really hasn't been that effective since his rookie season. The Titans are really counting on him to revamp their pass rush, and if he turns out to be a FA bust, the pass rush could actually be worse than last year (is such a thing even possible?).

Alex Smith
Justin Smith
Aldon Smith

....I had a trend going there.

But it was pretty accurate either way. All 3 Smith's got hurt during the season and it made a huge impact on the team.

Alex's injury is obvious as it allowed Kaepernick to step up and turn the offense into the strength of the team in the playoffs...which was necessarily because the injuries to the other two Smith's took a toll on the D as the pass rush got worse and the secondary started getting abused.

I have no doubt in my mind if Justin and Aldon were healthy for the SB 49ers would've won that game.

Seahawks

1) T.O: Say what you want, he's a talented big fast reciever in a core with little substance. He'll get attention and thus make a difference LOL

2) Red Bryant: Makes it very hard to play run offense against us and is why we did so well against the Ravens. strong performance as always, one of my favorite players by far

3) Bruce Irvin: There's room on this pass rush to get your sacks, and he's skilled and fast. most sacks from a rookie last year, suspension coming up but far from a bust 2/3 aint bad

We made a qb sneak on 4th and 1 look easy.

so to recap

Jon Baldwin can't get any separation, posted 325 yards 1TD (Hey at least thats higher then his rookie year)

Eric Winston struggled to pass block, got cut, and is still looking for a job. he also trashed an entire city for the actions of a few. **** him.

Rodney Hudson looked good but broke his leg in the 3rd game of the year. Apparently he looks good so far in OTAs.

so .5/3 is kind of bad

Dwayne Allen- well if you're going to put the future of your franchise on your #1 draft pick, you might as well bring in some young talent for him to get chemistry with, Allen joins Fleener in what will be the best TE Duo in the league in 3 or 4 years.

Sorry to Dwight Freeney, Antoine Bethea, Reggie Wayne and Robert Mathis, but even with you 4 we're not making the playoffs this year, so as a developmental year, I gave these 3 the position of impact players.
