Seems about right give or take a win.

You have them losing in Minnesota which I really doubt.

I think they finish third in the division at best and their QB gets injured.

0-2 vs. Packers.

12-4 with losses to GB twice, philly, houston.

0-2 vs. Packers.

I have a strong feeling the FF game between us will be a low-scoring game, with less than 30 total points, and the team who turns the ball over the most will lose. @ GB is never easy, probably a shootout with GB winning by 4-10.

On that I have them with 6 wins, but I'll say 8 wins for the year.

Agreed, if Stafford misses the whole season.

Well considering that last year was the first that Stafford played anywhere near an entire season, Megatron didn't get injured....Oh and they improved their offensive line...and...oh wait no they didn't.

So adding the 2nd best tackle in the draft hurts the offensive line? There have been rumors that if Reiff is good enough to start we might move Backus to guard, which would make our offensive line so much better at run blocking. Predicting injuries is an invalid argument. At the very least, he's a reliable backup who's better than any current backup on the roster.

9-7

They'll lose both games to the Packers who are in their heads, rent free, they'll also lose to the Cardinals in Arizona who have a solid defense and can make life hell for teams stumbling into Glendale late in the year.

Damn brah, thought you would go away. Lets get to it though;

Zero running game argument: Last year Jahvid Best missed 11 games, Kevin Smith was healthy for 1 game and had 140 rush yards, then got injured, and Mikel Leshoure missed the whole season. With all 3 healthy, our run game will be good enough to keep teams guessing.

QB will miss a few games argument: You're an idiot. I predict Jay Cutler misses 14 games.

A few offseason arrests in season argument: Two players on the 90 man roster were arrested this offseason, and both started a combined 0 games in their NFL careers.

I don't think Best will ever be healthy again brah. 49ers rocked his bell and I see him being one of those guys who will continue to rack up concussions left and right unfortunately.

Probably true. I just hope if he does return he's used rarely for carries and mainly on screen plays where he's less likely to get hit hard and where he can be deadly.

I still get 11-5 but a bit more viable IMO.

But I think it could be anything from 9-7 to 12-4. The former obviously if they get rocked by injury to Stafford.

We'll see if Megatron can take down the Madden. They lose him you can forget the playoffs.

Really like the Lions but I see them falling back to about .500 this year.

BornAChampion
08-12-2012, 09:28 PM
Brahs, can I get some reasoning for these .500 and sub .500 predictions? Unhealthy RBs is one thing that killed us last year, that's mostly fixed with Kevin Smith and Mikel Leshoure fully healthy. No depth in the secondary was another thing that destroyed our defense last year, we have our #2 corner in Dwight Bentley and have a bunch of nickel/dime guys who can be decent, which is all they have to be since the D-line is there to get pressure. We also got Riley Reiff who may land a starting job mid-season and get Peterman the **** off the starting O-line lineup so we can run more efficiently. Our schedule, outside of the 4 tough divisional games, is fairly easy. Let me know some reasoning behind these.

pretty much this. i have them sweeping the Vikings, but losing to the Seahawks. that Seahawks secondary is no joke.
