BREAKING: Panthers reach 5-year contract extension with Jonathan Stewart.

Fug yea, so many other Panthers fan didn't think this was possible after signing D-Will long term. In Hurney I trust.

I'm happy for Stewart. But I really wanted to see him get a chance at getting 300 carries somewhere.

D-Will has no guaranteed money after this season. He may be released or asked to take a pay cut.

Btw stew was rated the most elusive back in the nfl by pff last year.

Dude is one of the best in the NFL.. I have a feeling he'll get a LOT of carries this year.

Nope. Williams and Stewart are best friends and want to stay in Carolina their entire careers. They have no problem splitting carries despite what a lot of people think.

All those who keep saying Dwill is going to be gone, not going to happen. both Stew and Dwill have said multiple times that they prefer their workload share because it is going to prolong their careers...if anything, Dwill's carries will decrease and Stew's will increase

fixed... Smash n Dash was that ****ty combo CJnoK and Fatdale White

Just realized Panthers take a $9.6M cap hit if D-Will is released after this season (signing bonus was $16M, and it would be a prorated cap hit for three years.)

Yeah but what is his fantasy football value.

Keep in mind they shared carries in 2009 and both combined for 1,100 yards+ each and 7TD's+ each. In 2008 DWill had 18 TD's and Stew had 10 TD's... I see a year like that happening.

I think this year instead of leaning on Cam so much, they're gonna revert back to 2008-style and run nonstop(where DWill and Stew combined for 28 TD's on the ground) and also use the backs more in the passing game. It might be a bit complicated with Tolbert being added into the mix, but I still think DWill/Stew get around 250'ish carries each and will be good fantasy backs.

Don't get me wrong, I'd rank at least 5 or 6 backs ahead of them and wouldn't want them to be my feature backs on a fantasy team, but they could be good value picks if they fall due to people being afraid of the split carries thing. I'm def gonna try to pick one of them up late.
