Hey guys,

So I started my bulk 2 weeks ago and went from 158.6lbs to 162.4 in 1 week. Probably mostly water retention. Then this week I went up to 163.8. Just curious if I should drop calories a bit or stay where I am. Also couldn't go to the bathroom besides peeing before weighing in. That might also effect it.

I am 5'10.75" and eating 2900 cals/day.

Just came off a long cut so seeing gains are strange haha

Thanks!

Think logically. 2900 a day, your maintenance would need to be sub 2000 for that to be real weight

Thanks man I have no problem with being patient. I am here for the long haul. But I just want to make sure these gains are beneficial To staying lean while gaining

most people do recommend a reverse dieting up to a bulk however. Like going up 100-200 a week until you are in a surplus

This is the best approach. It's really hard to do though because after a cut, all you wanna do is EAT! If you can manage it though, you will get mostly lean gains. I have to say if you are gaining about a pound a week, the majority of that is gonna be bloat/fat...

Thanks guys! I know I should have eased back into it now. Well I guess I'll just except the bloat. I think for my weight and height 2900 calories isn't going to really make me fat
