View Full Version : Help needed: Intermittent Fasting, bulking questions

Sup guys,

I am planning on doing IF 16/8 but I would like to use it in order to bulk up.
My plan is to add 500 kcal plus to my maintenance when working out and just 100 when resting.
I've got a few questions though.
Since it's fasting I would like to minimize the muscle losses, therefore is it adviseable to take BCAAs in this 16 hour window when fasting?
Further I work out in the morning around 7/8 am but then during that time i will be still fasting so after workout I can't take my shake or anything, so isn't that
against the principles of weight gain?

Please hit me up with your suggsetions and recommendations!

Only take BCAAs if training in the fasting window.

Even then, there is little evidence they are really required. Compound this with the fact you are bulking and I'd say it's pretty unnecessary.

i meant the general knowledge, that right after training you require your whey or carbs in order to maximize your muscle recovery
