the websites i have uysed have listed my BMR at 2400ish with my 'activity and exercise level of 3-5x per week'

however every other day i do some pretty intense cardio after my workout...what should i do on the days with the cardio

obviously if i am 3-5x/week exercising the BMR on my days off should be lower..and days with cardio it should be higher?..or does it average this in already

Of course not.

BMR=/= TDEE.

And even if it did, of course not.

First, you're confusing BMR with TDEE.

Anyway, your body does not operate on a 24-hour clock. Use the TDEE number you came up with. In reality it will be higher on days you work out and lower on rest days. But who cares? At the end of a week it will average out since the exercise frequency you chose is 3-5x per week.

It's just an estimate for a starting point anyway. You'll end up adjusting calories based on your personal results anyway.
