Yesterday was a great Fathers Day, trip to Cooperstown, brisket and pulled pork for dinner, then a trip to our favorite ice cream stand. When we were at the ice cream place, Jake had his cone and was dancing around with it like a toddler will do. He started jumping up and down, and Mom and I were telling him, "Watch your ice cream!" and "Be careful with your ice cream!"

And he dropped it.

I smiled, picked it up, wiped the outside layer off with a napkin and handed it back to him...and he started jumping around again with Mom and I warning him again. This time, the bowl at the top of the cone broke all the way off and BOOM ice cream and top part of the cone face first into the ground.

I laughed and said, "There's no fixing that."

He looked at the ice cream on the ground and said, "All done."

No crying, no fussing, no fit...just, "All done."

What a great kid.

Got to enjoy those "special" moments. They pass by in the blink of an eye.
