15 months for 1.5 million bucks? Seems like a pretty good deal to me.

But the cost of retaining one's anal virginity and not losing it to prison thugs;

priceless. ;)

I say not worth it. He has nothing to show for it. He should have gifted the money to a child / grandchild, bought a lambo or something tangible... Instead he tried to be a baller at the casinos and blew it.

I'm watching Heroes on Hulu... the kid who can talk to machines...

15 months, yea, I'm in.
- Provided I can keep the cash I would have hidden away.

Why did the guy stay in the US?

He could live like a king the rest of his life in French Samoa.

Hell yes. I would have got a DUI, and said I don't know where the money went because I was an alcoholic, and I spent on booze and hookers. All the while it would be stashed away for my retirement after my new 15 month fitness program. 15 months later I would come out rich, and ready for retirement in the Caribbean.

No desire to go to jail for that. Not enough money to waste 15 months of my life

Exactly. No way I would give up the time just so I could basically give it away to a casino.

Bury it deep somewhere in PVC tubes, capped and sealed shut. Prolly get out in 10-12 months, but the notoriety would have everyone shadowing him as soon as he got out... lose.. lose!

Do these machines really carry that kind of money? Or was he withdrawing 3000 a day? Most banks have limits - I would think the machine would stop even if it's not taken from his account

Not to be a killjoy, but there is no such thing. There is Samoa (formerly Western Samoa and before that belonging to New Zealand) and American Samoa (formerly a German possession). The French never owned anything nearby as fas as I know. I dream of Ta'u.

Exactly. And that's without the heightened chance of death or disease.
