Used to think that Heat Fans were all bandwagoning self centered phaggots, however the standing ovation and applause that they gave the Celtics Big 3 was extremely classy and somewhat gave me chills. Something that i honestly wasn't expecting.

I wasn't expecting that either, I think everything said and done, everyone enjoys and appreciates a great game.

they werent giving the big 3 a standing ovation, they were clapping because taking the big 3 out was Doc throwing in the white towel. They were clapping because it meant they had won.

I have to agree with this as most heat fans don't even realize if it weren't from there the heat wouldn't have their big 3. Hearing fans heat games talking basketball can be absolutely brutal. Hats off to the cletics it was a great series.

This. Boston taking out its starters mean that they have officially waved the white flag.

Besides, didn't they boo the Boston Celtics when Alonzo was giving them props in his speech?

lol notsureifsrs. they were clapping b/c miami fans are so stupid they didnt know if touchdowns counted as 6 points in the nba or not. when doc pulled them out that reassured them that they won and would be heading to the world series

a bunch of them still booed during the trophy presentation unfortunately.

You cant pool an entire demographic together like that though. brb 3 fans do something = entire city.

You hear LBJ giving Doc Rivers props "I really respect you, I mean that"

Boston fans would never do that to LBJ or Eric S

Really? I recall they only started cheering after that alley oop dunk.

I also recall them booing when they said "I'd like to congratulate the celtics on a great season..."

perhaps i got trolled.

The whole putting himself in the spotlight for the decision, not 1 2 3, etc was more than enough for me not to like him

I would understand if this was some "casual" fan over the internet but you guys realize Miami Heat's has over 90%+ attendance rate since Wade/Shaq came notice into the league right? Even after Shaq left they maintained a great attendance record so it shows you something.

Year Average Percentage of Capacity
2005 19,881 101.4
2006 19,954 101.8
2007 19,720 100.6
2008 19,463 99.3
2009 18,229 93.0
2010 17,730 90.5
2011 19,778 100.9
2012 19,935 101.7

I'm quite sure the majority of those fans in '05 haven't disappeared and "new ones" suddenly appeared...

as a heat fan it was extremely disappointing to hear the fans booing boston when they were being congratulated for a good run, i understand boston is a big miami rival but there needs to be a level of respect especially when you see a team pour their hearts out to try and win.

not that i have ever thought too well of our bandwagon fans, but that was incredibly disrespectful

Was unaware a player on a team was the equivalent to the fans from the opposing city.

Wonder how many drinks the Celtics players got thrown on them after tonights game.

Probably none, since the American Airlines Arena has workers present to prevent something classless like that.

Someone posted that in another thread a few days ago and I'll say it again, those numbers are bs from mid 07-2010 the heats attendance blew dick. I used to get lower bowl tickets for $15. Hell I scored $4 tickets to heat vs knicks in 2007 lol. Arena was at best half full, tickets sold doesn't have a direct correlation with attendance brah.
