There is no set time, it's up to YOU.

I do 2 - 2 1/2 hours of weights each training day and walk between 1 - 2 1/2 hours depending on what I choose to do at the time

I prefer the cardio so i usually spend my time on cardio.Losing weight is a little hard for me.

My normal training week is 4 days. Some weeks I go 5 or 6 if I feel I've over ate that day.

When I do go, I always start with 60min on eliptical. Then - depending on the day (if i had work or not) I take my time and enjoy my lifts. I can go lifting anywhere from 30-90min on top of the cardio.

I figure 1000cal burned on cardio, and between 300-800 burned lifting.

What do you mean?

Also lifting weights will help greatly with your fat loss

It's all about time management for me as I lead a busy work and home lifestyle. I like to keep my evening weight sessions to 40-45min but try to maintain intensity. I super set between 2 body parts a session with minimal rest between sets. I usually spend the same amount of time each morning doing cardio (5km run or 10 km cycle).

45 Mins - 1 hr. I only do 15-20 mins cardio in the gym but walk about 5 miles a day. I like to keep my gym time short and intense.

personally i like to do my weights before my cardio
for optimal fat loss you should be lifting Heavy between 4/8 reps depending on exersise
if your lifting properly then doing this after a cardio session may be difficult due to fatigue
i agree with poster above though both cardio and lifting are essential to weight loss

personally i do my muscle groups for that day
ie
MOnday
chest and Bicepts
then do a 45/60 min cardio session
and finish with abs
