Hello Everyone,

I have a question regarding carbs.

I am a 25 years old, 5 feet 11 inches and I weigh about 195 pounds. I train 5 days per week (30 minutes cardio and 45 weight lifting). I work a computer job from 10 - 6pm and I train at 6:30 for about 1hr and 15 minutes.

My goal is just to maintain my size at 195. According to calorie calculators, I am suppose to eat 3128 Calories per day (382 g of carbs, 195 grams of protein, 91 grams of fat) to maintain my weight based on my training.

Due to my job, the best I can eat is 3 meals and 1 snack. (9:00am breakfast, 1:pm lunch, 5 pm snack and 8:45pm dinner after workout.

With me having to eat 382 grams of carbs, it comes up to 85 -120 grams of carbs per meal.

My question is, is this too much carbs per meal? Is this good for my blood sugar? I would love to hear your opinion.

Thanks

Curious what makes this an advanced nutrition question. Anyway what do you mean the best you can do is 3 meals? This implies you are under the impression you need 6 meals?? This is false, in fact you can eat 1 meal, 10 meals etc and it won't matter for body composition.

To answer your question, no it's not too many carbs

Thanks, I was under the impression you were suppose to eat the most 60 grams of carbs per meal to keep your blood sugar stable and to avoid storing fat. That would mean 6 - 7 meals for my requirement and I just do not have the time for it. I'll be sticking to 3 meals and a snack then. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for the advice.Meal timing and frequency should be a matter of preference. Just hit you macs/cals in whatever way works for you.
