If giants didnt have pagan in the lineup theyd have won this game by now.

Cain almost pitched a perfect game his last outting.. kid is a stud. My favorite player in the league.

You think Polanco should have pinch hit?

I thought after 2010 this wouldn't hurt as much.

Mad respect for Cliff Lee though. Shut out after 10 innings and still getting the loss.

Eh. Moreso the fact I feel bad for our pitchers. Brb pitch a 10 inning shutout ... No decision, team loses

Didn't Lee put up amazing numbers in his first start as well and we couldn't get him runs? Feelsbadman

Is it too early to start asking the mets what the cost of David wright is ?

When the situation came up with Thome vs the lefty a lot of things probably should of happened. It was a situation where you needed a player to make contact not strike out. There was no reason Polanco should not of been hitting there. I actually wouldve never bunted with Galvis. I wouldve ran for Ruiz with Orr and let the next batters hit. But Charlie Manual is stuck in his old archaic frame of mind. It is completely obvious that the offensive talent this team had the past 5 years is what has made Manual look good. Dont get me started on why Papelbon wasnt in the game. The "closer" is being over used. Your best relief pitcher should be pitching in the highest leverage situation. No matter if youre on the road. Manual is among many many mlb managers who dont get this.

Agreed, Thome should not have been hitting in that situation. Thome is like Howard, either a big hit or a K. You need someone to just get contact in that situation.

Also if Polanco had hit he wouldve been in at third base for the butcher Wiggington also. He atleast gets 1 on the ground ball by Pagan.

Game of the year so far anyone else agree? Mind you you have to be a fan of great pitching over the long ball which luckily I am. Great pitching dual>14-12 multi home run game.

I hope Cain keeps this up and finally gets his cy young.

You could add DL stint to that. This is why you don't pitch a mid 30 year old pitcher 9+ innings in April.
