I have old fashioned oats I cook on a stove top and always use water. I am now going to add whole milk, how much milk do u put in per cup of oatmeal/do u use water at all too? Second question is, will casein mix if added to this oatmeal? Because casein usually doesn't mix very well

Exigent circumstance does not attach.

I was just curious because everytime I cook oats with milk they come out nasty.

I don't know if an "urgent oatmeal question" is really possible, but this isn't it. Topic was good for a laugh though.

Anyway - however much water you used, if you use that same amount of milk, it will be about the same consistency. If you want it a little thinner, add a little water. I use about 1.5 cups of milk per cup of oats.

Second, you can add casein to your oats, but it will thicken them a lot, so you would probably want to use more liquid (milk or water. or both) to compensate.

Third - don't worry so much about oats.

Did anyone see the video where Jason Genova tried to microwave oatmeal without water? It was epic.

^ I would love to train with that guy one day. I think next time I'm in the Miami area, I'm going to try to arrange it.

^ He's really the world's best troll. He has a Ph.D in biochemistry from an Ivy League university, but couldn't find a decent research job, so he decided to strike it rich on the Internet.

Didn't read the whole thread but 1 cup of almond milk to a 1/2 cup oats at 4 minutes in the microwave = heaven in my mouth.
