Lets be reality

Sure. Let's strip Jose Reyes of his batting title too. Coward sat out 8 innings of a game that one time.

Tell me more about how butthurt you are that Kobe never deserved even the one MVP he got.

Kobe was NEVER the best player in the league.

EVER.

You know what he gets credit for? Longevity. Nothing else. His prime wasn't better than TONS of players, but his longevity is incredible.

Lol @ these phaggots negging me with absolutely nothing to fall back on. If you need to neg someone who argues against you, you're pathetic at arguing.

State your point or don't. Kobe was only arguably the best in the league, ONE year. And that has more to do with his team being so awful that he set a record for usage rate.

Keep the negs coming Kobe fans. I laugh at every comment in my CP that says "nice troll u mad kobes the goat?"

Good argument bros.

show me the multiple years please. Kobe was NEVER hands down the best player. It's always close, or an argument.

An argument that would be settled by saying "yeah well mcgrady was injury prone" which is about Kobes NOW and his longevity, had nothing to do with THAT season.

Kobe's been the best player since 2003. And please don't give me Duncan when that guy lost the Olympic Gold for the USA in 2004. Kobe had to bring the gold back in 2008.

Oh well, if Kobe is ONLY "arguably" the best player in the NBA for 15 straight years.

Let me play Devil's Advocate. Let's say Kobe was always the third-best player in the NBA for 15 straight years and never the best. Who cares? That's still a damn great player.

2001 Allen Iverson/Shaq
2002 Shaq
2003 shaq.
2004 Kevin Garnett
2005 Allen Iverson / Nash
2006 This is the year I'd say it could be Kobe / Nash
2007 Possibly Kobe again
2008 - present Lebron james

I remember when me myself and Iverson got that shi t in 01 beat the Lakers in game 1 of the finals and then got swept the next 4 games. Hoisting the MVP trophy up before the series was probably not the best idea.

^ This.

That's why I started my list of best players for 2001. Kobes first real year in the spotlight as a legit A-lister in the league.

Kobe has had a great career. But at no point was he above and beyond the rest of the league. When you look at Kobe one word comes to mind

Longevity.

I have no problem saying kobe was the leagues best player 03-08.

But hes never deserved an mvp imo.

I srsly dont even acknowledge him as the 08mvp.
That was Paul's award.

Anybody still holding onto some lame twisted Kobe is still the best player in the game because hes clutch/ I trust him for one game over anybody should be shot.

It's over...not thelakers winning...kobe being top tier.

Again, Kobe's been the best since 2003. He's the best player of this century, and of his era.

MJ = Best of the 1900's

Kobe = Best of the 2000's

Both are my Top 2 ever.

Russell played in a weak era, where the average center was around 6'8, pls go. He was on a loaded team, and would be like Mutumbo in today's NBA.

Bird played no D, and Kobe has already outdone his scoring wise. Kobe has more titles, and didn't need a team of HOFers to do it.

Be mad phaggot.

Kobe is definitely not the greatest of all time. Robinson and MJ and Magic hold that honor. Those guys completely dominated the game during their primes and even past their prime. Kobe may have the ring, but it wasnt because he was carrying the team.

people ignoring what threads about
kobe is gonna finish the year sub 40% from the field and shoot as much shoots as he averages ppg
while KD/lebron shoot 5 less at 50% from the field and average about a 1point less
would be a joke for kobe to get the scoring title over them
would love to see what gervin or robinson did to get t he scoring titles over shaq/thorpe
