Crazy thought huh... kobe is under contract until the 2013-2014 season. And if he starts slipping... after what they did to fisher... I dont think its out of question that they might consider using their amnesty on kobe.

Though I have no doubt that kobe will still be straight ballin until 2013-2014... 25 ppg at least

Kobe will be done by next year.

Guy is already entering Michael Jordan Wizards territory.

What? MJ was the leading scorer in the NBA when he was in a Wizard's uniform?

if anything Kobe lookin like he in 97 Jordan's form right now

This. Why would you even make a thread about Kobe declining? he hasn't declined even a little yet and there's always threads about this. Just because his age people assume he is declining

kobe has a top 5 all time usage rate in nba history right now
hes the least efficient hes been in his entire career
he also attempts like 4 or 5 more shots then the next leading scorer, whos hes only ahead by about a point ahead
if durant shot the ball 4 more times hed average 30+ easily
kobe doesnt get to the rim like he use to and settles on mostly offbalance fadeaways while double teamed
kobe also shoots a pathetic 43 from the field and 28% from the 3
and hes getting paid more and more money to put up those terrible numbers while he has 2 all star big men on his team

kobe isnt even the best player on his team once again but gets more hype
hes slowed down and gotten dumber as hes gotten older

yea hes looking like the 35 year old jordan from the 97-98 season and kobe is what 33. for a few season there i thought kobe slowed too much to average 29 ppg! but with only .435 FG% and .284 3PT%! compare that to the 35 year old Jordan at 28.7 ppg on .465 FG% and .238 3PT%! Now at 33 (95-96) Jordan was at 30.4 PPG at .495 FG% and .427 3 PT%! wouldnt that be a more fair comparison?

He is declining... but like I said in the op, i think he will average 25 ppg at the least in 13-14.

I never suggested the lakers amnesty him. But lets say he shoots 40 percent and averages 17 ppg in 13-14 while being paid 31 mill. I dont think its farfetched to say the lakers might amnesty him.

Kobe looking pretty consistent to me....

h ttp://espn.go.c om/nba/player/stats/_/id/110/kobe-bryant[/url]

But his FG percentage is down a bit and his TO rate is up, it's only half of the season tho so we'll see.

However, since Fisher and Walton (two of the few friends he has on the team) just got traded, this could affect him negatively and turns mamba into even more of a sociopath.

lol @ thinking he'll slow down in just 2 years... if he was signed for 6 more then i could see this being a thread but 2 years??? wouldn't even be worth it as they wouldn't even consider it for at least a year.. then you're waiving 1 year deal.

Sounds legit, cut him and lose hundreds of millions just to save $31 mil.
