i think i need alot more of every thing in my diet, supposedly i am suppose to have 3800 calories a day i am taking the flax seed for the omegas and the fiber

I mean it's not bad but I'm sure there are tastier alternatives to a) mix with your postworkout shake and b) mix with flax seeds. I like them with a big plate of pasta personally.

you really cant taste the flax seed in the shake if anything it just makes it a little thicker

I prefer chia seeds to flax seeds. I think chia has twice the amount of fiber and prefer the taste over flax seeds.

I must've misunderstood your question then.. If you're confused about what to ingest "post workout" then see http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=123915821. Eating flax seeds after your workout isn't going to magically cause your gains to go away

If you're going this route , as in, PWO Shakes

You should not ingest any fats after working out, Fat + protein = hindered absorption

But that being said:
1. Flax Seed Needs to be grounded in order to be absorbed(oils,n'such), other wise its just fiber.
2. Grounded Flax seed makes things gelatinous so it can actually activate your gag reflex(or it does when i drink my flax) and make your protein shake
just feel bad.

No if you want your shake to taste better
