A few weeks ago I reached 230 lbs for my work load on squats. Since then my hipflexors have been sore. Before then the weight wasn't that heavy for me. But now that the weight feels heavy they are staying sore.

Could this be from bad form? Could it be from good form and I am doing everything correct?

I have started stretching them pre-workout but they are still sore.

If form is the cause of your pain, I would blame bad form not good form.

Its sore muscles from being worked not pain.

Should the hipflexors be worked during the squat? Or, am I doing something wrong that would cause me to use them when they are not suppose to be used?

Yes ( but the extent depends on how you squat. There's many many different types of squatting. )
