Did he simply decline to appear on camera? Weird not seeing him pop up in his own house.

Was also wondering this. I figured they would have shown him a lot.

Maybe his relationship with the Colts is now so bad he won't step into their house anymore?

Can one simply decline to appear on camera?

He just wanted to stay on the down low for a while. Let his bro get his shine and all.

He just wanted to stay on the down low for a while. Let his bro get his shine and all. Probably this. He didn't seem to like any of the pre-superbowl attention being on him and not his brother

No, he does not have to be on camera, he has nothing to do with this game.

AND, from what I understood, Peyton said he had been superstitious, going back to whatever game, can't remember (Atlanta I think). But he would Watch the game from the Colts training facility. He might have been there.

The game was about the Giants and the Pats. Not Peyton Manning.

He was throwing passes to Larry Fitzgerald getting their timing down for next year.

He was wearing Eli's jersey

I noticed this as well. Figured either he didn't want to take away from the Super Bowl spotlight and kept himself out or (more likely) the NFL didn't want any focus on that distraction and deliberately had him not put on camera.

Doing what he always does this late in the postseason. Filming commercials.

He wanted to let Eli get all the attention.

come on, you know they would have been talking about him more than they talked about Jerome Bettis and detroit.. it was little brothers day

Peyton was in Eli's jersey playing.

...don't tell Bill Belichick.

he was probably crying watching his little brother win a 2nd super bowl in his own stadium

When they panned to the skybox, Archie wasn't there either.

They were probably in the back watching it on tv instead.

We had a rule for our drinking game for Manning face, Eli provided plenty, but was still strange not seeing Peyton anywhere...

I have a lot of respect for Peyton after the way he handled this week. He basically wanted all the attention to be taken off of him and given to Eli. He said Eli earned it and doesn't want to take away from his moment. He knew the camera would be zooming to him 20 times this game, and he wanted Eli to get the credit he deserves without having the spotlight on his older bro. Gotta give props to Peyton, he seems like a good guy.

Vegas had an over/under on how many times Peyton would be shown on TV....maybe the mob paid somebody off to make that not happen

Another funny Vegas bet was over/under 1 minute 35 seconds: the National Anthem

Archie was there. They even commented that he was pacing around in the back on that shot.
