I'm living in Japan, so the prices are really high for meat (especially red meat) so I want to subsitute at least 1 meal on my 6-7 meal plan with just vegetables? Can anyone recommend me so good vegetables that I can find here in Japan? Or it could be something that can be found easily anywhere in the world I guess :p

Why are you eating 6-7 times a day? Eat whatever veggies you like

Well I can't get enough protein and calories and I don't want to eat 1 "huge" meal cause it's pretty hard for me. I eat about 800grams of meat everyday :S

You can eat anywhere between 1-6 if you like. You're asking about subbing veggies or meat and you struggle to meat protein requirements?

I want to (if possible) subsitute 1 or 2 meals (which will give me about 60gr of protein from each) with a vegetable meal. I'm both struggling to digest the meat everytime and meat is soo expensive here but veggies are really cheap. But I don't want to completely sub it, only 1 or 2 meals is good enough. Is there anything I can do?

Are you asking for the internets permission to eat veggies? Have you read the stickies on diet composition? What is your current stats and macro intake?

Lol, I'm just asking for advice from people who have thought similarly as me. Yes I read the stickies a lot but it doesn't actually give me what I really want. I'm 190cm, 83kg with 16%bf. I take 250gr protein, 100gr fat and 350gr carbs (I haven't counted my calories).

I don't know what answer you're looking for. Yes you have my permission to eat veggies

Just search Google for veggies with high protein. I prefer brocolli personally. Also, have you thought of adding in legumes? Beans and lentils and what not. Those tend to have relatively high protein counts for what they are.

You could also try searching for "vegetarian bodybuilding" to see what they use for their protein sources. I realize you are not vegetarian, but it could be a guide for those couple of meals

Thank you shooter1101, yes I've actually searched for what you said earlier and found some nice stuff. I just wanted to acknowledge it here too ;)

If you're struggling to consume 250 grams of protein per day, why not simply reduce protein intake by 50 or 75 grams?

Agreed. It sounds like your struggling with your diet at 250g protein and that is a recipe for long term failure. No reason that 180g/day would get you the same results.

Protein for every 100 grams

squash 1.64 g
sweet corn 2.5 g
okra 2.43 g (hmm..slimy though)
cauliflower 3 g
asparagus 3 g
broccoli 3 g

- i love Japanese sweet corn...the best!
