Need help. I've been doing incline bench press for 2+ weeks now. I am seeing huge improvement near my collar bone, outer part. However, I have not seen any improvements in the center upper chest. Looks like there aren't any muscles. I feel the muscle when I put my arms parallel to the ground and right arm a little facing left. I'm also doing close grip bench which hits my triceps and lower center chest.

What would be a great exercise for the center upper chest?

Incline flys and cable cross overs.

Thanks a lot!!! So normal barbell incline won't touch it?

Contrary to what a lot of people may tell you, you can't isolate the inner chest. The proportion of your inner chest to outer chest is all about genetics. The only way to increase the upper middle is to increase the upper chest overall.

I tend to agree somewhat, but I feel I get a better stretch of the entire muscle with incline flys and crossovers. I would not stop doing incline barbell presses though.

I just started doing these, at the end of a chest day.

Usually I do, incline, decline, flat
end of the workout chest day, these work good for me. Pretty light weights, so easy to finish off the inner chest, even if I'm sore and tired, after my heavier work.

Maybe they will work for you

So far they really hit the inner chest, for me.
It frikkin burns them up.

I doubt if you can target the upper center chest. You need to put in the time to build your chest.

I like the machine he's using. As someone with a home gym, it's exercises like these that I get jealous of not having a gym membership. Well... I technically have one at my local YMCA, but they don't have a great selection of equipment anyhow.

Wow, 2+ weeks and you aren't ripped yet? May as well quit now as there is no hope.

I mean, it's working. I'll have to be patient like what JerryB said.

This is me about 3 days go after workout. If you notice, when my elbow gets closer to the inner, it shows the mucles. I'll wait for 6 months and I'll work on it very hard. :)
