View Full Version : Two quick creatine questions.

I want to take creatine on my next bulk(I'm cutting right now), I've been doing research on when I should take it and should I do a loading phase which I take 20g of creatine for 5days or just take 5g everyday for a month than come off it for 2weeks than back on it again.

Heres the problem, Some websites are saying you have to do a loading phase and others are saying you don't have to... and also saying that you have to take creatine before your workout others are saying you have to take it after your workout and also others are saying you have to take it in the morning as soon as you wake up... Im so confused, guys help me out.

When should I take it, should I do a loading phase and should I cycle it?

according to the creatine faq on the forum, you dont need to load. Actually for most people you can only absorb 5mg per day, any extra gets excreted as useless creatinine. from what i've read, you can take it any time of day, because it takes a while for muscle saturation.

I just started on creatine. Its the first time I have ever used it. I am on day three and like you I have heard you do and don't have to load up on it. I bought a 2,000 gram jug of powder from ON. It was only 38 bucks or something and should last 3 months or so I think. I am just going to simply follow the directions on the label of mine. Load with 4 teaspoons for 5 days, then one teaspoon a day. Either way I don't think its going to hurt anything.

*Also I am doing a small cut I guess you could say. I am going to hit cardio hard til I drop about 6 pounds. This should get me really close to ripped abs, then I am going to maintain the bf levels and finish it off once summer is in full swing. Don't make it so complicated, follow the directions on your creatine and go to the gym and do your thing.
