This is a passing league and every sunday proves it. What happened to the days of the true workhorse running back dominating a game? Now you get scatbacks who are essentially receivers and of course qb's and wr's all over the field. What happened to the rb's and fb's?

Is it safe to say a collegiate rb desiring to get in the nfl the next 10 years needs to have great receiving skills that can run fast out the backfield? The 4.8 40 rb's and fb's are nowhere to be seen these days

Defensive players are bigger and faster and workhorse RBs don't tend to stay healthy for long
Rules changes and specialization of the passing game make it more effective
