For example if a person weighs 200lbs at 10% bodyfat. Then they would have a LBM of 180lbs.

Now if that person wants to go on a cut, would they use 180lbs to base the calories for cutting, or would they use the entire 200lbs to figure out the calories need for cutting?

I'm sure what you're trying to ask specifically, but in the above example the individual would have an estimated BMR of 2,137 calories. That BMR estimated would be multiplied by an activity factor, which would yield an estimated TDEE.

On a cut, the individual should consume 80% to 90% of estimated TDEE, monitor progress (scale and mirror) and adjust intake accordingly.
