The problem with people that live in california is that a large number of them are not FROM california.

And he better not make a penny more than weaver.

1) Wilson is the #1 starter on the traditional free agent market this year
2) Weaver is only scheduled to make $7.37million this season
3) Wilson (if he signs with the Angels) will make a lot more than that per year for his 5 years
4) This does give the Angels a great chance to make the playoffs out of the West... but they still have to prove to me that they can win in the playoffs...

I'm not so sure. Wilson is a 2 or 3 at best not an ace. The Rangers are already replacing him with Feliz. If they are able to develop Feliz and improve Ogando's endurance. They would actually have improved by letting Wilson go. It seems Nolan trusts in his pitcher developing farm system.

Wilson would be 3rd best starter on the team, interesting move (especially if they get pujols) but they will over pay huge for a #3 starter

The Rangers are still the biggest obstacle for the Angels... and it could be a tight race all summer. But if this Pujols news is true the Angels have just made themselves the pre-season fav in the division.

Pujols and Wilson added to the pitching staff? The angels aren't messing around. They wanna beat the Red Sox and Yankees.

I'm not so sure. It really depends on the move the Rangers make. Either way I do think Pujols is a terrible long term move for the Angels.

No they want to beat the Rangers. Fried Chicken will take care of the Red Sox and the Yankees really need a couple more starting pitchers IMO.

if the Angels indeed get Wilson after signing Pujols, rest of the MLB better pepper their anguses

Second day, and still no news of Wilson signing. Anyone else getting fed up with journalists trying to get ahead of everyone else and reporting rumors as facts?
