Just a quick question on the subject. If someone could answer or direct me to a link that would be great.

If you have been lifting for months but whilst on a cut and trying to lose weight, Do you still get those newbie gains that people talk about when you go to do your bulk? Even though your body if used to lifting?

If you are undermuscled then yes, your body will be accommodating about increasing muscle mass. You have to work harder to gain mass and retain it when you have more of it.

For example, people coming back from being bedridden or illnesses that make them lose a lot of weight will gain a lot of lean mass simply by recovering and adding weight by eating (no resistance training required).
