The less flacco has the ball the better chance the ravens have at winning. That being said its going to be a great game. gonna be tough for pitt on defense with 3 linebackers out.

no one is picking the Ravens?

ugh. Don't like the sounds of that.

I'm just going to keep my mouth shut. After the asswhuppin' we took last time, I don't get to talk until we actually do something about it. New England are paper tigers. Bill Belichick has so totally f'ed up that defense with his BS chinese fire drill draft pick failures. Brady's a freak but he's a human and he is, literally, carrying a team that is actually pretty damn bad from top to bottom. When your biggest deep threat is a 6'5, 260-lb TE, your offense is going to struggle against a team that takes a few minutes to get past the "awe" factor and play smart defense.

No pass rush + no pass defense = problems.

Ravens have a sick pass rush and they have 2 aces in the hole

1) Haloti Ngata plays for the Ravens
2) Chris Kemoeatu plays for the Steelers

Steelers are without 3 of our 4 starters at LB, so any "mental" advantage regarding the revenge factor or whatever is going to be seriously blunted when we stick Stevenson Sylvester and Chris Carter out there instead of James Harrison and Lamarr Woodley.

But week 1 was such a fluke game... that is not going to happen again.
That was the first time someone ran over 100 yards on the Steelers in 51 games against Pittsburgh
I think it will be a much much better game now that the season has gone on, both teams better prepare their angus.

Don't count Harrison and Woodley out, they still may play.

Ravens seem to be the kind of team that plays to the level of their opponents. They are still a playoff caliber team but Flacco has no business throwing the ball more than 20 times a game no matter who they are playing. Their identity is Ray Rice. I think the Ravens will bring their A game on Sunday and get the win, but I think it will be closer this time.

Yep. And then Arian Foster ran all over them in Week 4 as well. The Steelers run defense hasn't been nearly as impenetrable as in the past.

That said, they'll find a way to beat the Ravens on Sunday night.

Joelz is infamous for making declarations and usually being wrong. He was adamant that Jimmy Clausen would be an elite QB.

-Cowboys win Super Bowl
-US beats Mexico in Gold Cup

Did you watch the 2nd half of the Cardinals game last week? How about the Jets game from earlier this year? The Ravens defense is flying all over the field. Pittsburgh will be lucky to score 10 points Sunday night. Now whether Baltimore can score 11, that's the real question. It's always a mystery which Ravens offense will show up.

did you forget the 1st half of the Cardinals game? you cant pick and choose.

I hope everyone in Baltimore expects a similar performance as the Steelers turned in Week 1. Ben is playing as well as ever, and of any team, the Ravens should know how damn good he can be.

What are you talking about? 7 points came off of a fumble where Arizona got the ball at the 2 yard line, 7 points came from a punt return TD, and 7 points came off of an interception where Arizona got the ball at the 25.

Those 21 points are on the offense and special teams, not the defense. Like I said, did you even watch the game?

I was not talking only about the defense. It was a poor performance turned in by an inconsistent team. Plus its Kevin Kolb, he has as much to do with the Cardinals blowing the lead as anyone else. He is terrible.

Ben Roethlisberger is far better than Mark Sanchez or Kevin Kolb, so he stands a good chance of directing the offense to more points against the Ravens defense than those other two did. Not saying the Steeler are gonna go for 30+ on them, but I think they get 20 or 23 and win the game. And we can't forget the pretty good chance of Flacco himself giving the Steelers points on defensive scores or turnover that give the Steelers great field position.

These games are never a forgone conclusion. Steelers have a lot of big injuries on defense, but I can't imagine their replacements aren't up for this game. Can never count out the Steelers, no matter what.

It also depends on if the Ravens offense actually shows up for this game. I'm hoping they continue to utilize the shotgun. With the way the o-line is playing, this is the only way I see Flacco getting time to throw.

I think the Ravens take this, but in a way closer game than week 1. The fact that it's a prime-time game and in Pittsburgh doesn't bode well for Baltimore though.

Either way, I can't wait for tomorrow night.

that was the super bowl to them, they were nothing but focused due to last years playoff comeback by Pitt.

I've only seen this said on these boards. Where are you getting this from? Because it's ridiculous. That wasn't their Super Bowl. They've beaten the Steelers plenty of times. Christ, it's so stupid.
