Anyone have an idea? Why is this line so high? Rice has stayed in close games all year.

No idea. Houston's games are generally very close. It seems like a good bet on Rice beating that spread.

Yeah. Have only beat three teams by that much. Rice hasn't been beat by 28 all year. Anyone have ideas?

Rice are 2-5 for the season, and 3-4 ATS.
Lost 4 out of the last 5
Average of 22.3 points scored per game
Average of 32.6 points against per game

Houston are 7-0 SU
They are also 5-2 ATS
They are 4-0 SU and ATS at home this season
Case Keenum return completing 72.9% of passes and total of 2,685 yards with 23 TD's
Ranked 1st in scoring, averaging 49.3 points per game.
Outscoring thier opponents by 25.9 points per game

Weather: Light Rain shower, could cause grip issues for both offense and defense. But I can't see Rice doing much to stop the passing game, i think running game will be used 45% of the time.

Looks like it could be a a 250+ yard game for Keenum and and he will throw for atleast 3TD's rushing TD's point towards 3TD's too.

I think final score will be 51-20.

EDITBut I will say, I will probably try and insure against back door cover. if you can get it down to 25 or 24 points then you should be ok.

idk what rice's defense looks like, but i know houston is usually a pass heavy offense that scores, scores, and scores some more....unless rice's secondary is absolute garbage....but idk brah, do some reasearch, if u can't find a whole, maybe you found the bet of the week.

Sagarin Ratings (http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbt11.htm)

#28 Houston 80.49
#90 Rice 64.45

Factor in the home field advantage of 3.14 and Houston is favored by 19.18 pts.

Houston by 18.74 according to Houston's Page (http://collegefootballpoll.com/analysis_cusa_hous.html) at Congrove Computer Rankings (http://collegefootballpoll.com)

If I were betting, I would bet that Houston does not cover -27.5.

Last time Keenum started against them, it was 56-0 by halftime. (True story, was at the game)

Oddly, there is some sort of home field advantage in this series. Wiki the games for when they play at opposite fields - I had 300 on houston.
