Who would win the match up?

brb_ballin

more like Stafford vs. Revis... Megatron will give him some windows its a matter if Stafford can place the ball in the right spot.

Revis easily.

He'll Rape and tackle Megatron before he even has a chance to catch it.

this, cmon op Revis has his own set of rules. The only person who can compete within in them is the GOAT; Dez Bryant

I donno, Marshall had 109 yards on him last week, and Megatron is better than him.

Yet Revis grabbed 2 INT's, which is abnormal for Revis standards.

Marshall only got 109 receiving yards because Moore forced him the ball many times.

Also Revis would shut down Calvin Johnson. No question about it.

Revis is allowed to hold receivers, so I'd say Revis would win.

The only receivers I'd put my money on to have big games against Revis is Andre Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald

andre had 35 yeards on 4 catches vs. revis last year.

big plays on revis only happen when he plays underneath expecting the safety over top to NOT blow their coverage which leonhard/pool invariably do.

also, lol @ ppl listing andre johnson, etc. he has shut them all down.

reggie wayne had 1 catch for 1 yard last year in the Wildcard round. Manning didn't even look to that side of the field.

I think Revis would play well as always but Id just throw Megatron jump balls and let him get it, its much harder to defend upwards

Megatron is a completely different monster this year, just put the ball up in the air and megatron will come down with it over revis.

We really going to act like the 49ers didn't play single coverage most of the game with rookie Chris Culliver on megatron?

Your point?

7 rec, 113 yds

Culliver = 3rd round CB rookie and he held him to 0 td's with no help.

Obviously CJ will get his catches, but I think Revis would shut him down in the endzone

And most of CJ's yards against Culliver came on 1 big play (41 yards)

None the less he still had a good game, you can't expect him to put up 150+ yards and 2 TDs every day.

If stafford would throw it to megatron against revis and let him go up and make the play then he would have a good game, obviously if stafford doesn't throw to him and only throws when there's a window instead of allowing megatron to megatron, then he'll prob not have an amazing game.

Someone needs to start tracking the PI's that Revis gets called for. Constantly grabbing, and holding all the way down the field. Refs? nofuksgiven

this. the guy gets away with murder every game, but since he's the "best" he doesn't get called on it.

similar to lebron and traveling...brb we s(h)it our pants when they call PI on revis and traveling on lebron. should be called on almost every play but instead its called on 7% of plays. nom sayin?

must be why cromartie gets called for holding/pass inter/illegal contact 5 times a game. make up calls.

No player in the league has the physical capability of stopping Calvin Johnson in coverage.

With a well thrown ball, NOBODY can defend that height with that wingspan and that vertical. No amount of skill in the world can compensate for the sheer physical capabilities. It'd all be on stafford.

this is patently false. do you even watch jets games? probably not cuz if you did you'd realize he mostly plays alone on one side of the field

Revis against Vincent Jackson should be a good matchup this weekend. He's a much better receiver than Brandon Marshall 6'5" vs 5'11"

I think Revis gets help from the refs due to his reputation. With that being said, I think the real battle is Stafford vs. Revis. Calvin can catch the ball if it's placed in his hands.

lol this. i hate the jets but living in ny i watch a ton of jet games and he always goes 1 on 1 with the other teams best wr, he doesn't play the left or right side of the field-he plays the best.

ffs he played johnson last season and held him to 1 catch for 13 yards.

When will people learn that Revis is only good because of the pressure they get on the QB with their men in the box...

Not saying he isnt good at all but just not that good. He wont shut down the actual really good receivers. Sure he shut down some decent receivers and some receivers that were old and past their prime but so have other corners.

I hope that Rivers picks him apart Sunday. Gates is coming back too. Dis gon b gud.

Hardcore_D00d

it has happened and revis made "megatron" look like a megabitch. lets be reality no receiver can consistently make plays on revis, he probably gets beat only like 1 time every 500 plays.

I'll say it right now, there is no CB in the league who can stop a well placed jump ball or fade to Megatron. Now that Stafford is throwing the ball where it should be, that is. The guy is just too tall, too big, and has too much ups.

Talib is 6'1'' and has a 38 in vert and can't do anything about it. Little Revis would get worked in the red zone.

Whoa...for a second there I thought I stumbled into a conversation with people who actually knew something about football. You know, like all the players, coaches, ex-players...all those people who say Revis is the best.

Then, I realised I was on the was on the sports misc, with know-nothing armchair commentators, haters, and all-around morons.

Please, experts, elaborate on why everybody else is wrong, and you are right

megatron is too big, too strong, too fast, and jumps too high. on a one on one play where stafford has time to throw megatron probably makes the play 9/10 times.
