Stern doesn't view NBA players as equals. He views them as dumb basketball players who need to be controlled to avoid them harming his product.

- "Business" Dress Code
- Rule Changes to stop handchecking, flopping, & overly physical play since defense doesnt get ratings
- Threats to void all contracts if the NBAPA decertifies.
- Threats to keep cancelling NBA games until the players agree to the Owners demands

Unlike Goodell, Stern doesn't make decisions for the "good of the game". He makes them for the good of business which is why many fans blame him for the downfall of the NBA post-90's era.

Hes been in power for 25+ years and feels he owns the game of basketball.

Stern has strived for years to be the face of the NBA rather than individual superstars.

Actually, Stern is the Face of the NBA.

Hes at every possible media juncture related to a NBA game promoting himself. In comparison, we havent seen Goodell since the NFL opener, & Bud Selig is only present at the All Star Game & World Series.

But, these players aren't "slaves". They choose to be paid millions to become the property of another man.
