So I have been busy all day and have not had a chance to eat a decent meal all day. I had a decent breakfast but ate snack foods (e.g. muffins) throughout the day. I have about two hours until my workout, if I eat a large quantity of protein and food will my body have time to absorb all of that?

Or will I be wasting a workout.
