Made these bad-boys (just made my second batch today...in the freezer as we speak), a couple days ago, and they turned out alright. Figured I'd share the recipe. They're nothing fancy...but don't take too long to make, and no baking is necessary.

What you'll need:

1 - 9x9 (or similar size) glass baking dish.
1 - Can of spray Pam (or whatever it is you use).
(2) Cups Rolled Oats.
(4) Scoops (132 grams) Protein Powder. I used the ON Casein (Chocolate and Peanut Butter).
1/4 Cup (4 Tablespoons) Peanut Butter (I used natty).
1/3 Cup Milk (I used 1/2%. Can use a full cup, I just used 2/3 cup water).
2/3 Cup Water.

No special tricks as to how you mix it...just throw it all in a bowl, and start mixing. I had to get my hands dirty, although you can probably use a mixer, and be alright. Once it's a decent consistency, spray the bottom of the dish, and spread evenly. Throw it in the freezer for 45 mins to an hour, remove, and cut. I cut mine in to 9 squares. Was just easier to cut 3x3. Each square yields:

Calories/Protein/Carb/Fat.

167/15/15/5.

Enjoy.

Shoot..didn't think about it. I'll snap some after I take these out of the freezer.

Doesn't a protein bar lose the portability and convenience factors when it can melt at room temp?

PB & Chocolate is such a winning combo. FYI: 4T of pb = 1/4c. Did you mean 4 servings (2T each)?

hmmm, now that school is about to start i might have to make something along the lines of these...since you used milk, do you think they will keep in a backpack for 3-5 hours?

Winning combo, for sure!! And you're right...it was 4 Tbsp (1/4 Cup). Thanks for the correction! Have fixed the original post!!

I don't think they would last five hours. That being said...the milk is purely optional. You could certainly do the batch with water...as I don't think that would change consistency, or taste..."too much". Hope it works out for you!!

Just popped a batch into the freezer... Instead of milk I used 1/3 cup almond milk and 2/3 water and added 1/4 tbsp of vanilla :D

Forgive my lack of knowledge on protein bars :D

I take it you cook the rolled oats first, ie add water and zap in the microwave?

I made them a couple days back and they are tasty, you just have to freeze them for the right amount of time. I left them in too long and they were fat too hard so i put them in the fridge overnight anf they were mad soft, so i just ended up eating with a spoon and it tasted like some delicious choc pb pudding.

Nope..just scooped them right out of the container. I never cook my rolled oats. That's just me though. Well, probably not "just" me...but you know.
