8 games behind the Phillies in the NL East..

Thought they had two pitchers with top ERAs in Jurrjens and Hanson?

Good luck with your wild card goals of 2011 ATL

to be fair, the Phillies have gone full retard, on pace to win 105.

In before we get swept by the ****ing Nationals. We have played like garbage since the AS break. Pitching has taken a huge fall in the last month.

As a Braves fan....Typical Braves.

They are easily one of the most frustrating teams to be a fan of.

Very true. The Phils are red hot right now, and they would be running away with it regardless who was in the division with them (except the Yanks or Sox)

I would take that 100% over being eliminated from playoff contention before the season starts.

They will come back to reality once their AS pitching staff they bought gets too expensive or too old. Id give them a year or two more.

What is "reality"? The Phillies won the 2008 World Series with none of the relatively new starting pitchers (Halladay, Lee, Oswalt). And aside from that, I'd take 2 more years as the best team in baseball.

Marlins went from literally being arguably the best team in the league to the worst team in the league. Now we are happy to be at .500 again. We won one ****ing game in June lol. No other team has the right to bitch

Halladay will retire a Phillie. And he's what, 34? I say he pitches until he's 38 or 39. As for Lee, what was the deal that he signed. 3 or 4 years I believe.

Good luck waiting for the Phillies to fall off. They are going to be very good for at least 2 or 3 more years. And I'm not just saying that because they are my favorite team.

The Phillies are a brand now, just like the Yankees and Sox. When the pitching falls off, we will just buy or trade for more.

And lol at Phillies fans in here thinking that they didn't mortgage their future (financially and prospect wise) for a run these next two years.

Good luck in your being above .500 goals in 2013.

they have a bigger checkbook and seem to continue to make improvements year after year. everyone said new york's farm system was dried up in the mid 00s yet they have failed to make the playoffs once in nearly 2 decades in the hardest division in baseball. the year after that they won the world series. there are two things that keep the phillies above everyone else and will keep them competitive. they don't mind spending a ton of money to win and players want to play there. the phillies will be fine, we will see how the braves will be.
