for those that don't know, Marlins were up 3-1 going into the bottom of the 9th. Nunez gives up a 2-run HR to blow the save. Mets fans get their hopes up. Stanton bombs a ****ing grandslam in the top of the 10th and now up 7-3.

And Nunez is probably gonna get the win lmao. joke stat

Mets second straight game with a tying HR in the 9th inning with 2 outs ....and then blow it and lose.

Now thats an impressive stat

I got home too late from work to watch the beginning of the game. I am baffled by that play from right field where he threw out Reyes. That was belligerent!

He made up for it because he got lazy on that Pagan hit and let him advance to 2nd. What better way to cover up your error, but hitting a bomb to LF. Question--where did the "I'm literally Jesus" come from? Did he say that?

Hard to hate on Stanton even when he does that to your team, the kid is impressive.

mets fan here and i'll admit stanton is a scary ****in player. going to be a major force for years to come. very jealous, wish the mets had a young home-grown OF'er like that

Stanton is unreal, but theres nothing worse than someone trying to force a bad nickname down people's throat in hopes it will stick.

Stanton is a great home grown talent. I'm very jealous as well, I wish Domonic Brown (Phils homegrown talent) was living up to his hype and matching him swing for swing. But I don't ever see that happening. Stanton is so much better on all levels.

OP can you explain why your team only plays hard against the Mets? I dont understand the hate from the Marlins to the Mets but its very evident ever since mid 2000s when they played spoilers to the Mets trying to make the post season. Are they mad Florida is basically New York part 2 for elder citizens and that their stadium is filled with more Met fans than Marlin fans?

As a Mets fan, I laugh when people think someone's performance against us matters. I've already given up hope for next season, as they're talking about Jason "My agent is literally Jesus" Bay to CF.

That said, Stanton is disgusting - he will be a force for years in the AL East.

See what I did there?

lol was that supposed to be a shot at the marlins? because i have given up on the season as a marlins fan. now i'm just cheering for individual players on the marlins (stanton being the main one). lets face it, marlins and mets aren't going anywhere anyway so what difference does it make who beats who
