If Buchholz was there we'd have 4 sub 3.5 guys. The fifth is a guy who was good before he started play with us >_>.

CC and Colon combined WAR - 7.8
Beckett and Lester combined WAR - 5.4

not even scared.

inb4 Lackey gives up 6 runs and then yells at his defense for not catching HR balls
inb4 Bedard can't handle the pressure and fakes an injury
inb4 Wakefield/Miller contribute nothing

Lol at using Becketts numbers from 2003 when he was a Marlin. Dude hasnt won a postseason game since like 2007. And the only big game Lester has pitched in he got **** on by Matt Garza.

So the clinching game of the World Series isn't a big game...

That was the only game he started in that postseason, and his team was already up 3-0 in the World Series.
Lester has never carried a team to a championship like Sabathia has, brah.

All 24.2 innings of it?

I think A-Rod proved that postseason SSS mean nothing.

paint a thousand paintings but suck one dick and you're a cocksucker not a painter

also 24 innings divided by 5 games tells you all you need to know about how good he did during those games

Not to mention that Bedard isn't exactly the kind of guy you trust to go out on 3 days rest like the Yankees did in '09 with Sabathia, Burnett, and Pettitte.

I'll take my chances with Beckett and Lester included in that package. They'll add Lackey, it can make his contract worth it though.

What do all those pitchers have in common? They all lost to the Giants in the 2010 playoffs.
