Is it cuz they will go broke if they miss out on like half the season?

Kevin Durant says he is "about 50-50" on playing overseas if the NBA lockout lasts.

They probably wanna work on their game but main thing is probably money cuz they dont have any saved up for more than 1 or 2 months

the lockout will last the whole year, a lot of the owners own nhl teams and they want to lock the players out to get what they want.

Leverage against owners. This let's them know that the players have other options...

Money, keep their game going so they dont get rusty, cause they love basketball...the list goes on.

And most of all...why the **** not?

because they love playing ball?
because they still want to make money?
because they want to play infront of crowds that will actually make an atmosphere at a game?

The main leverage the owners have over the players is a paycheck. This takes that leverage away for some.
