In b4 steelers fans come rolling in saying he is garbage, yet joe's first 3 year's qb rating and yards/attempt are surprisingly similar to Peyton's...

36-19 as a starter. 3 trips to the playoffs, 1 trip to the AFC Championship. Passer ratings of 80.3, 88.9, and 93.6 in first 3 years.

Yeah I would say that is pretty damn good. The only fans that dispute this are Steelers fans. Shocker.

As a raven's fan it pains me to point out a small stat your missing, his individual playoff stats.

If he wants to be refered to as pretty damn good, he needs to show us something good in the playoffs

this

Doesn't hurt having a defense that includes Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Terrell Suggs, Ngata, etc..

Is he? well then why doesn't he step up and be a leader and not be a bitch in the playoffs

Why should they admit it. It's not like he has beat the Steelers with Big Ben at the helm. He has consistently raped the Ravens.

strong logic.....big ben's first 3 year's qb rating and yards/attempt blow joe montana's out of the water

therefore, big ben is/will be on the same level as joe montana....please go

he is dirt. an average qb that looks like death at times. the only way he will win a superbowl is if his defense gives him a ride there. no way will he be able to carry the team himself. he may be a top 15 qb, maybe.

I just don't see why there is so much hate for the guy. Yes he has been bad in the playoffs, but there are a ton of teams that would love a guy that has the win percentage of Flacco. Peyton Manning has a pretty terrible playoff history over his career (which is a lot longer than 3 years) and I doubt many Colts fans are calling for his head.

Please quote where I said Joe will be better/on the same level as Peyton?

I simply stated their stats are similar after 3 years. Strong assumption from you.

Crediting Flacco with wins is like crediting a low-scoring Flutie with wins in '99 when there just happened to be the best defense in Buffalo history on the same team.

as a Steelers fan, this pleases me. I only hope the Baltimore Front Office believes this and keeps Flacco on as their starter for another decade.

Joe "Checkdown" Flacco. Maybe they should line Ray Rice out wide and he might actually throw the ball outside

Especially with a healthy Polamalu and company and them getting rid of Mason and Heap.

Just saying he gets a ton of hate considering his numbers are similar to the GOAT's. If his numbers more resembled.... Alex Smith's, then I would understand the hate.

I just don't see why there is so much hate for the guy.

what do you expect when the guy has done relatively nothing in the playoffs and Raven fans compare him career path to Peyton Manning's?

seriously?

he is a good, not great QB that has yet to take the next step.

ya its easy to talk when he has one of the BEST defenses and a great running game. Very easy to talk.

so you are saying there is a correlation to the stats/numbers you listed and the skill of the QB's? explain to me how you are not implying that because of their comparable 1st three years y/a and qbr, they are comparable in skill

the only reason people are "hating" is because ravens' fan talk about how he is so great
hes average at best, which is all the ravens really need to be a contender bc of the rest of their team
instead of defending flacco, ravens fan should be talking about how great their D is, or running game

notice how none of the steelers fans coming in here talking about how Bigben is so great??

or comparing his 1st three y/a or qbr (which are significantly better than flaccos peytons brady montanta.....i can keep going)

I dont see any threads calling Flacco great. Maybe I missed them. I haven't once said that Flacco is on the same level as Peyton. I'm saying I don't understand how there is so much hate for him when other great qb's have put up similar numbers early in their careers.

You can keep twisting that I say, that's fine. I have never once stated that Flacco is a great qb. I simply defend him when a certain group of people call him "garbage". If Flacco is garbage, then wheres the hate for Matt Ryan? Joe and Matt put up almost identical numbers last year, despite Joe having 80 less attempts.
