Which means he met the "A" Qualifying Standard time for the World Champioships and Olympic Games. It is going to be cool seeing seeing the blade runner run in London...I hope South Africa calls up on him.

I thought they ruled he couldn't be in the games because of his prosthetic? I think I remember them saying it gave him an unfair advantage.

That's what they did for the last Olympics, not sure if they changed it or not. Hope they don't though cause it's not fair letting him compete normally. Dude has an advantage over everybody else.

brb giving a pitcher a prosthetic arm and letting him throw faster than everybody else

The IAAF rulling was overruled by the Court of Arbitration for Sport...and he was declared eligible for Beiijing...but he didn't have the qualifying times...he could have gone as a relay member, but there were better south african sprinters in front of him back in 2008

That is so fukking fast.

I ran the 400 when I was a sophomore and junior in HS and the fastest I ran was like a 53.

how he does it with no feet is what baffles me....

Put it into perspective...I am from Brazil....and no one here has an "A" time yet...

A man who doesn't have to worry about lactic acid build up in his calves does have an unfair advantage in a running event over normal athletes, yes.

I am pretty sure not HAVING calves at the first place makes up for that
