Sup with fans being ejected because a player jumps into their seats at baseball game? The player is going for a ball but the fan catches it, even though its in the fans seats they still eject the fan?

i'm kind of skeptical about all this.. seats aren't cheap these days.. fans shouldn't be getting ejected trying to catch(or you could say defend themselves) from a ball coming right at them.

Or is there something i'm not seeing that goes on?

You arent supposed to interfere with happenings or something like that.

I always thought the rule was you can't reach over the fence, but aslong as its in the stands you can go for it.

that's exactly what I thought.. but lately i've seen fans being ejected when players jump into the stands for the BALL!!! the fans are being escorted out.

someone needs to inform us why. we pay for those seats.

could they are being escorted to medical place so the fans can't say they were hurt and sue them. My friend got hit by a foul ball and they forced him to go to the medical area to be cleared as no injuries.

no clue why though

This guy caught a pop-up ball that Cody Ross could have nabbed at the Giants game a couple of days ago. He was escorted away and at first it looked like he was being ejected, but they actually just relocated him to a new seat for his own safety.

If you're referring to another incident recently that's probably what happened too. They can't eject a guy for catching a ball that is actually in the stands (didn't reach over)
