AllMax Micronized Creatine Monohydrate 1000g

http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/all/creatine.html

5g a day, 60 mins pre-workout.

Sound right? How long on, how long off? Is a loading phase optimal or not?

use search, lots of threads on this already...

anyway, theres no need to load, 5g daily whenever you want to take it, and you dont have to cycle creatine.

You don't HAVE to, but it is good to cycle just about anything. There are threads on Creatine, but not threads with my specific questions, or product.

Please do explain the benefits of cycling, the generaL consensus suggests otherwise

The thought process behind the benefits of cycling is that creatine is naturally created in the body, albeit a very small amount. Consumng creatine supplements, and any supplement for that matter, has shown to decrease one's own natural production of said.

With that said, I don't believe creatine cycling is exactly necessary because the human body creates so little of it. Supplementing is said to give you what, a 5-10% increase? Well, this increase is already at least 3x over what could be naturally consumed on a diet extremely high in protein from lean meats.

C'mon now... none of these answer your specific "How long on, how long off? Is a loading phase optimal or not" burning questions?

Not everyone loves carrying water weight 24/7, so I would assume you would take a break at some point.

I love cycling off for 6 weeks once or twice a year. I feel like I get mentally adapted to creatine, and after I cycle off and get back on the extra performance I notice gives me a boost in confidence and motivation.
