Eric O'Flaherty: 28.1 IP, 26 K, 8 BB, 1.59 ERA, 10 HLD
Jonny Venters: 36.2 IP, 37 K, 11 BB, 0.49 ERA, 0.76 WHIP, 13 HLD (best RP in baseball, yes better than Mo)
Craig Kimbrel: 30 IP, 44 K, 14 BB, 2.70 ERA, 18 SV

...and Peter Moylan & Kris Medlen both come off the DL late in the season.

I consider Medlen a starter personally. Put that phaggot Lowe in the BP and start Medlen.

But yeah I know that wont happen :(

Cristhian Martinez has been good as sh*t too by the way. Gotta give him some love ITT.

I'm definitely not a D-Lowe hater but I say try as hard as you can to trade the guy...next year you've got either Medlen or Minor (who threw a 1 hitter in 8 IP Sunday btw) to round out the rotation.

Played baseball in high school with Craig, its really weird seeing him on TV rofl.

He was more in my brothers age, but playing travel ball with him and my brother was a blast. Hes a great guy. One hell of a pitcher too.

Now is the Braves chance to make a push at Philly. We need to put FLA in the dust right now with a sweep and make this the two team race it's supposed to be.

If we can bring the bats for Lowe tomorrow we have a pissed off Jurrjens to close the series. He'll be locked in for that one for sure.

Getting 1 hit in 7 innings on a pitcher that just came up from AA is nothing to get excited about

Do you know the overall ERA of the Brave's bullpen?

yeah was gonna say the Pads. The only guy I don't like in there is Frieri. Hopefully he see less innings when Thatcher comes back. Also Luebke could be a little more consistent, but Gregerson, Adams, and Bell are straight cash

A win is a win. Those are the tough ones you scratch out that help build/sustain a winning streak.

Are they still in the MLB?

ERA isnt always indicative of best pitching. Definitely worth looking at. But one bad outing can kill an ERA.

Plus it includes nothing about inherited runners, which is even more important than the one bad outing thing.

I could have an RP that has an ERA of 0 but let's other runners score every time he steps on the mound. That's not ok.

But in this case OP is correct. Braves have the best bullpen. No homer necessary for this one.

I dont think inherited runners from the starter have an effect on the relief. But the point is the same regardless. I can have bad night and give up 2 runs or 6 runs. The ERA will be fawked but doesnt really show the body of work within a season.
