add him to Love, Beasley, Wes Johnson, Flynn, Webster, Darko and the 2nd overall

and they got a lot of potential. they need Cleveland to take so they can add Williams

he averages 5 ppg lol

So did Jennings. He's was a boy playing in a mans league. plus the NBA is more suited for his style. He'll be fun to watch.

This. Those Euro stats mean nothin.

Rubio is Rondo lite.

I don't see how he is going to keep up with athletic PGs like D-Rose or Rondo. Watching the rookie PG battle of Irving, Fredette, Knight, and Rubio will be fun though.

euro leagues don't feature players. rubio has a chance to really do something if the NBA doesn't lock out the players, that said, the nba will likely lock out the players and kurt rambis doesn't seem willing to adjust his system for anyone. If the wolves fire rambis, rubio might have a chance...

he can't shoot watsoever and is nowhere near as refined as rondo in terms of playmaking, athleticsm, post-up etc. BUST

Can't really compare Rubio with Jennings in the sense that Jennings came straight out of high school to play in Europe for one season while Rubio has been playing professionally for 6 years already

So Minnesota's strategy now is to collect as much potential as possible, throw them on a team, and hope they have one or two good years with them before they bail to a bigger market?

So he will be great at defense and passing but a horrific shooter?

He just needs to be in a run and gun situation like a Mike D'antonio type system.

I don't think he'll do as good in a more half court type offense.

Well considering he picked Rose's pocket twice in a game last August and had 4 steals total, I think he will fair just fine keeping up. I think he will excel when he has NBA caliber players around him and average 7+ assists next year. The Wolves had no leadership last year, and Rubio even at 20 years old, can bring that.

I will lol@rubio if the cavs pick williams, this would almost certainly force the wolves to pick up irving.

Right now he fits that description minus the great defense part.

He's not a horrible FT shooter like Rondo though.

Not particularly athletic so penetration will be a problem.
Bad shooter
On a bad team

That's not a recipe for success

The Euroleague is a totally different style than the NBA. PGs rarely score more than 10ppg in that league do to the style they play. Rubio is only 20 and playing in a league of players mostly in their mid 20's to early 30's.

Most scouts think his game is more suited to the NBA and Coach K has noted that his defense is actually very good for a player his age.

He turned pro at the age of 14. I think his game is polished enough to be effective in the NBA.

I am thinking Jose Calderon with defense

I think that's where he starts, not his peak. I think Rubio is 12 and 8 guy as a rookie, but will be a better scorer and defender with a few years experience.
