hey im in cutting phase right now and i was wondering because i see that many people here take up to around 6 egg whites, how much calories do a normal large egg white have? because the ones i have here at home have 80Cals and 7g of protein but i wonder how many protein and Cals are left after u take out the yolk. And also could the egg whites give too much bad cholesterol?

The average egg white contains about 4 grams of protein and up to 6 grams for a jumbo egg. You are losing a small amount of protein when you remove the yolk, but the yolk is fat. The fact to include or remove the yolk will depend on your dieting method. The egg whites will not affect your cholesterol because it's fat free.

is it around 9 g per egg with the yolk?

I think half the protein content of an egg is in the yolk and all of the fat, fat is good when cutting so maybe a few yolks and a lot of whites would be good.

what about the Calories? how many in an egg white? would it be safe to assume half is lost since most fat is in the yolk?

Anywhere from 17-19 calories per egg white. You can get Egg Beaters and have the exact nutritional breakdown. You really have to ball park an egg white, not much else you can do.

My supermarket here in FLA has Pappetti Farms all egg whites. 1.89$ for 50 grams protein, o carbs and o fat. I eat it with salsa. I eat them for lunch fried up with pam. I dont like the flavor of egg beaters.

An egg white contains 3.5 grams of protein. The whole egg 6 grams. A good ratio to use is one yolk per three whites, no matter if I cook them, or make some sort of a homeade shake....

P.S. I only use Jumbo eggs.

We have what is called an "egg exchange" where I live it is also known as a baking supply company, they mainly do wholesale supply to restaurants etc. They sell 5lbs of frozen egg whites for $3.50. Look around for a similar place where you live - you should be able to find a good deal.
