Think he'll make it?

He has 2,819 as of midway through the game today (5/27/11)

Probably not this season but I definitely see him doing it

I doubt it. He doesn't get near as many ABs these days, he'd need a couple more years, I think he retires by then

How he still plays is amazing, he is 44 years old. To answer your question, no I don't think he gets there unfortunately.

I think he definitely makes 3k. Just needs to stay healthy. Batting over 300 at 44. Insane.

He has a chance if he gets semi regular playing time next season.

Think he will make the Hall of fame?

Wonder what team he will be with when he hits it. Being on a roster at that age period is insane. Good for him, terrific player

If Ozzie is in than Omar gets in.
He doesn't need 3,000 hits, he's a hofer now.

It blows my mind that I remember watching him with the Mariners as a small kid.

I think he will eventually be a hall of famer for his glove alone. And the hit total should push him over the edge in my opinion.

I have his signature, one of my favorite Indians ever.

I seriously thought he retired a couple years ago. Awesome defensive player though.

He should be a HOFer. The writers gotta give him the credit he deserves.

I think ARod is next on the list. He's got 2700+ I think.

Next season maybe, if he continues that utility role, it's going to take 2 more seasons, maybe 3 and i don't see him continuing that long.
