2 1/3 innings, 11 hits, 14 earned runs, 3 walks, 77 pitches. How can a manager leave the guy out there for so long?

Probably. I posted a link in the other thread about some guy who pitched an 8 inning game in like 1912, allowed 20 something runs and never pitched again.

Manager is a phaggot for leaving him in for that long.

in his defense, 3 of those runs came after he was taken out. still terrible though

Even 11 then is beyond pathetic.

It's up there... this one is atrocious though

Jason Jennings (starting pitcher)

0.2 IP
8 hits
3 BB
11 R/ER
39 pitches

first pitcher in the modern era to give up 10+ ER in an inning

while it was definitely awful, the manager was a dumb**** for keeping him in there so long. performances like this would happen a lot of struggling pitchers were left in when their stuff was obviously not working.

He faced 21 batters. That is absolutely ridiculous. He started the inning in which the Indians scored 10 runs (all of which were earned) and then came back out the following inning. That managing blows my mind.

Bronson Arroyo had a horrible start 2 or 3 years ago against the Blue Jays (I think). Something like 1 1/3 inning, 9 earned runs.

was there at the game tonight. I don't blame Ned Yost for leaving him in. We had no one else in the bullpen. Davies got hurt before we recorded a single out, and we had burned through the rest of the pen already. I mean Soria came in in the 7th FFS.
