Every year in basketbll or football somebody gets hurt in the last week of the season when a team has already clinched..Never fails. Phil is the greatest coach of all time but no reason to play bynum, kobe, pau or lamar. Terrible decision.

They are playing to potentially get NO in the first round which should be a sweep. That's a hell of a lot better than facing Portland.

they dont have the 2 seed clinched yet (as of right now, game not over), and can fall as far as the 4th seed. LA could not rest their players yet

I can see where there coming from with that mindset but lets be real, nobody in the west had a chance at beating the lakers in a 7 game series no matter what. They could be the 8 seed and as long as kobe/bynum/pau are there they would roll to the finals.

We wanted that 2 seed badly. Why make the playoff schedule tougher than it needs to be? Especially considering the 5 game losing streak we've been on.

I really dont think it matters tbh, even if they had to play portland, dallas and the spurs do you really think any of those teams would give them trouble? With such an old team i think you should always rest your stars like boston did last year.

Just gotta beat Sacramento for 2 seed. How hard can that be?

Exactly. Boston was the 4th seed last year and rolled everybody in the east.

I have all the faith in the world in LA, but I would much rather see them playing @ Staple Center. (only 3 losses at home since All-Star break --all 3 during the 5 game skid of last week)

Plus, I like to see Uncle Jack.

If Bynum can jog, it will be better than what the Lakers had last year when he could barely do that.
