Coffee is cheap, suppressses appetite and has thermogenic properties. Drink as much as you want.

I hope not; I've been slugging down multiple cups a day for about 50 years now! (srs)

It's the best pre-workout "supp" I know of.

I drink half a pot before I leave the house. Avoid all those flavored creamers though.
Now you got me craving some starbucks.

You need to learn the proper way to infuse yourself with caffeine:

I used to have one of these. Damn expensive for the good ones, but well worth the quality and taste when you use the proper beans.

Damn right son!
Got me a Baratza Virtuoso a few months ago on a ridiculous sale.
I alternate between French Press and Italian Moka, 2-4 cups/day, jet fuel indeed, I love this sh|t.

Definitely. I just picked up the model i posted, capresso infinity burr grinder and a bodum 8 cup french press (not posted, couldn't find the pic). Right now I have a ridiculously dark brew in there which is creating havoc on my counter top but my god is it worth it. The grinder was only 80-90 bucks i think, which sounds like a lot until you take the first sip and realize that the swill they serve at Starbucks will never touch your lips again.

Coffee is great - but it can cause some problems. I have to be careful how much I drink as my blood pressure runs high (genetic) and my acid reflux gets can get pretty bad. I drink no more than 2 cups a day... but would drink 20 if I could :)

this, my acid reflux can be terrible at some times. Also, excess caffeine intake will cause dehydration as coffee is a diuretic. Easy agitation (or aggression) may come with high blood/caffeine levels too, this can cause cortisol levels to rise; something undesirable for numerous reasons....

O, did i mention i drink a pot a day?

I drink mad coffee too but I will say too much is a bad thing, caffeine unnaturally taxes your CNS. Eventually you get burnout, so what I suggest is hitting it hard before workouts, trying to take it easy at other times, and try to get extra sleep when you start drinking 2 pots a day because at that point you are simply addicted to caffeine and dependant. I usually have 2 cups in the morning and another cup or two throughout the day, I think anything under a pot and a half is pretty cool.

Mild diuretic; a cup of coffee has a net hydrating effect. Caffeine in supp form obviously does not as fluid is not ingested with it.

This is exactly why I haven't been to Starbucks in about 4 years.

I like coffee...I used to hate it but the more I drank it the more I started to like it. On an empty stomach it still gives me the jitters. Pretty cool.

I have a keurig machine, got it for free so I cant complain. Plus I can use whatever coffee I want, even using my own beans.
