Add in the loss of Werth and that line-up is looking pretty thin

Victorino
Polanco
Rollins
Howard
Ibanez
Ruiz

Braves +425 to win the NL East may be a pretty good bet

It's about time for another Marlin youth insurgence. Seems to come out of nowhere every 4-5 years.

In reality though the Phillies lineup still looks excellent. Those are 6 pretty good bats, and 4 pretty good starting pitchers. Tough to beat even with a shat bullpen.

Honestly we had so many more injuries last year that were more critical, including at one point Utley, Rollins, Polanco, Victorino. I aint sweatin it.

With that rotation they don't need a lineup.

Even if they lost Utley for the year they will still be playoff bound and favorites to win the World Series.

Valdez was the MVP for that team anyway last year.

And they won the division, right?

Yea but you have to remember the Braves also lost Martin Prado and Chipper Jones too which allowed the Phillies to take the division back.

Who knows whats going to happen this year.

And Jair Jurrjens and Kris Medlen and Troy Glaus

And Yunel and McLouth played like absolute dog sh*t.

lol at the phillies thinking they had more misfortune last year than the Braves. That's lulz worthy.

I heard they had a better rotation last year than the Braves too and it failed to put up better numbers.

This year they added Lee and we added back Jurrjens. Seems like some fairly even additions. Now we're gonna start claiming they'll put up better numbers again?

Sorry but even if their rotation is better their bullpen still blows major dick. At the end of the day their staff will give up more runs in ballgames than the Braves staff will. Just like last year when it was supposedly better too.

The Phillies offense is overrated. Since 2009 their offensive output has decreased dramatically because teams know how to pitch around them now. Sure they have some good hitters but most of them are getting old and/or are riddled with injuries. And Rollins just sucks.
