Yep I read that what Carlo said. They have had a few decision in the last 3 games we played them off the top of my head which gave them the win. Freekick which wasn't at Stamford bridge last year, clear offside with Drogba at Old Trafford, and the penalty at Stamford bridge last night. Life goes on though, we're still top of the league and the team to beat right now. It's between us and Arsenal.

Edit: Thought that was great that Neville would sit with the fans, not often you'll get a footballer do that. He truly loves the club.

Agree with the last one. I saw Darren play in a friendly against Aberdeen at Pitodrie and he was terrible. Most Scotland fans believe that he is overrated. There's a reason why he plays well for United and usually poorly for Scotland - United teammates.

the penalty was the right call. Smalling obstructed Zhirkov by sticking his leg out. it wasn't intentional, Smalling just made a mistake, but the ref had no choice but to give the penalty.

however, David Luiz should have been sent off. if that was Arsenal playing against Chelsea i would have been livid that he was not sent off.

and yes, Darren Fletcher is overrated because he has very good teammates. its the same with Valdes and Pedro (and Pique to a lesser extent) on Barcelona.

at least some people speak sense, to the people who think it shouldnt have been think about this when thinking abut penalty calls:

if the foul would have been deemed a direct freekick OUTSIDE of the box, and it happened INSIDE the box - its a penalty, no matter how soft it is, shirt tugs, trips like the one smalling did - if smalling had tripped zhirkov outside the box it would have 100% been a direct freekick - so how is it any different inside the box? just because its a penalty it shouldnt change the decision...

and the same goes for second yellows.

and lol at fergie going mad at the refs - isnt he suposed to be all for this "respect" campaign? he shows a serious lack of respect having a pop at the refs like he does.

and think about all the players who have been repremanded for saying silly little comments over twitter - why hasnt fergie been repremanded?

and before you say i think this cos im a city fan - id say the same about mancini if he had a go at the refs like fergie did, mancini is just the complete opposite character and will let everything fly as he usually does - just dismissing everything going wrong and saying yeah yeah its all fine.

the tackle that he didnt get a yellow for when he should have was atrocious. the rest of his play was not. David Luiz, by the end of the season, will easily be considered one of the best center backs in the world. he is fierce, and does not give the opposition's attackers an inch of space. hes great in the air defending as well as on attacking corners. he has so much footballing ability that he could literally play any position on the field (look at his goal against United yesterday, om nom nom!).

Chelsea made a fantastic signing with David Luiz. yes, jealous he isnt an Arsenal player

damn, Bendtner's finishes were excellent. gives me a little hope for him being an adequate fill in for RvP against Barca.

and Neuer linked with a move to United with Schalke confirming United have shown interest. fuuuuuck. not only is Neuer a very good keeper but i love the Germans so i'd hate to see the Germany #1 playing for United. dont do it Neuer.

and to Americans watching the Arsenal match on FSC...lulz @ the analyst commentating on the match. he took a **** on Rosicky for being a puss, also said Squilacci did nothing positive the whole match (only made mistakes), and said Arsenal fans dont like Denilson because he doesnt show any creative presence. all comments were 100% correct. Denilson again showed how bad he is even against a League 1 team. the ball is passed to him and he quickly makes a short pass to another Arsenal player. its never a creative pass which will launch an attack or create a chance on goal. he literally gets the ball and makes a useless short pass as quickly as possible. he should not be an Arsenal player

all that **** aside, good 5-0 win. Bendtner looked fantastic as did Gibbs and Diaby.

The Neuer ManU connection has been hot for a while, seems likely he will end up somewhere away from Schalke (although they did have a good performance today), Bayern still has to be considered the #1 contender for him though, Cash + Kraft seems likely. That being said I can't imagine he would want to go to Bayern if they pathetically don't make the Champions League.

Also @ Kadafi, why is Jelavic not playing? People have told me this guy is like the new Prso for Rangers.

EDIT: LOL, 6 yellows in the first half and 1 red

EDIT #2: LMAO, even managers getting involved with players in the tunnel. Chaos.

Jelavic was injured in training before the match. Crying shame b/c the guy is really talented. I expect to see him playing in England within two years.

Neil Lennon was a disgrace last night. He was the true instigator of all the flare-ups. He got involved with Diouf and then tried to get at Coisty at full-time, when Coisty simply stood his ground.

Referee had a shocker too. Three Rangers players sent off, but would you believe that Neil Lennon genuinely believes there is a conspiracy against Celtic and that the refs favour Rangers? Celtic have destroyed the integrity of Scottish officials and have intimidated them into taking their side. In the last Old Firm match, Rangers were denied an obviously penalty.

PS: RVP and all other Gunners fans, Kyle Bartley was one of the few plus points for Rangers last night. The guy is a quality defender and I would love to see him back next year. He's so fast at the back and reads the game so well for a youngster. Granted, he'll face tougher opposition against the top five English teams, but he has obvious potential.

One thing I liked about Bartley was that whenever the Celtic plebs on the pitch like Scott "I think I'm hard because I've got a shaved head" Brown and Kris "I have a girl's name" Commons tried to get at Dioufy, Bartley was always there to stand up for him and keep him out of trouble.

Only watched the Barca game halfway through the first half, gotta say they played really, really crap. I don't think they've away the ball through bad passing the whole season as they did today. Lucky to get a 1-0 win. Valencia's attack was extremely crap though.

/remembers the days when Joaquin was the fcking sh*t

I would say you missed rest of the game when Barca took control and missed many chances. It should have been 3 or 4 goals for Barca.

Thanks for the update,

I caught the bits of the game were it was all kicking off and saw Bartley step in a few times, forgot he's actually massive.

Lennon vs McCoist was a bit odd though, one second they are shaking hands and hugging, the next lennon is ready to lay McCoist out.

Weiss is a very good player. Against Manchester Utd at Ibrox in the Champions League, his dribbling was unbelievably good. He doesn't lose the ball. Put three defenders around him and he'll still find a pass.

In the SPL, it's obviously easier for him against defenders, but one critique is that he is ridiculously selfish - moreso than Cristiano Ronaldo et al.

Judging by his World Cup performances and what I've seen so far, he will develop into an awesome winger, but with City's , he will never get a look in there.

I'd love to see him back next year.

So the FA are banning Fergie from the touchline for criticizing the ref after the Chelsea game. Martinez said at weekend that if one of his players had done what Rooney did they've have been sent off along with all the other bitter pricks who cry foul whenever they get raped at Old Trafford, will they be banned? It's fine though the United witch hunt only makes us stronger.

Edit: They charged him, 4 game ban starting on March 8th I think. Fuking ridiculous so he won't be allowed on the sideline for 4 of the most crucial games of the season because he said a ref was crap. Still think the FA favour United? Atkinson was a joke as he always is when reffing at Stamford Bridge, I shrugged it off and said sometimes things just go against you but this is just taking the piss.

And don't even mention the fact that Torres as well as Chelsea's best player Luiz weren't even signed when Chelsea cancelled the original game due to snow when there wasn't even any fuking snow on the pitch or the roads around the stadium. It's a joke they really are desperate for the Premiership to be in London the fukers.

Arshavan is better than Walcott in my opinion anyway, the reason why Arsenal have a chance of winning is because they're so good at counter attacking.

agreed, 4 matches is too harsh. Fergie should be banned for 1 match because the FA cannot allow managers to openly criticize refs but 4 matches? whoa baby.

and you make an interesting point about the newly signed players playing in a match in which they were originally not even on Chelsea's roster. but iceberg lettuce us eat some capn crunch cereal, theres no way to get around the roster changes. what should the FA do? not allow Torres + David Luiz to play and bring Sturridge back for one match to play United?

-David Luiz not sent off
-Fergie's 4 match ban
-Torres + David Luiz playing
(the penalty was deserved!)

dont blame you for being mad.

what the ****?!?!?! Song is doubtful for the match against Barca?!

when the **** did he get injured? its like Arsenal is trying to lose to Barca.

first leg players who are now injured for the 2nd leg:
*RvP
*Walcott
*Song
*Cesc (might play)

this is like last year all over. we're going to be starting several backups at Camp Nou. we can cope with RvP and Walcott being out because Walcott is easily replaced by Arshavin and strikers are not nearly as important to Arsenal as they are to other clubs but Cesc and Song need to be fit for Arsenal to go through. Song and Wilshere are needed to shut down Barca's midfield and Cesc is needed to keep organization in the midfield and create offensive chances to keep Barca out of our half the entire match.

if both Cesc and Song are out i guess Rosicky and Diaby would start? i'd definitely put Ramsey ahead of Rosicky normally but hes just coming back for his first Arsenal match in a looooong time on Saturday.

4 games is ridiculous even with the criticism. I would say it isn't any harsher criticism that what we normally see on a week to week basis when calls are blown. Tough blow to not have Fergie out there, but United must stay focused. It's already been a week from hell losing to Chelsea and losing Vidic, and Liverpool will not be any easier.

The only positive out of this is that United were in a similar situation last season where Ferguson was banned for two games, and United were able to excel in those games where he was away. Home to Everton, and at Portsmouth.

I was reading in the telegraph today that Fergie is expected to plead not guilty so he can be in the dugout for the liverpool game then serve his ban afterward. It's crazy how managers can't comment on the referee without punishment.

I heard Tony Pulis on sky sports news today with the idea of each team have 2 appeals per half (or game I can't recall) where they can obviously appeal against a referees decision like they do in Tennis and Cricket as far as I'm aware. Sounds like a very good idea to me and needs to be brought in to save stupid decisions being made, plus it would then stop managers saying shiit about the officials.

theres a difference between commenting on managers to bitching about a certain manager and complaining about them after every defeat - a comment every now and then goes amiss but saying "when i heard it was him i expected the worst" is jut a complete lack of respect and a disgrace from someone who has been knighted even more so.

as for the appeal system i think thats the best idea and have thought so for ages - it works extremely well in cricket... obviously refs are gonna make mistakes and if the team are adamant hes made one they should get a chance to rectify it - i dont think people realise just how different it is being on the pitch as a ref than it is watching it on tv or from the sidelines/crowd.

Nasri on Barcelona:

"Barcelona are like Brazil," he said. "They don't like it when you put pressure on them and attack them. They want to play their game. If you put pressure on them, they're not the same team.

"Barcelona seemed much better last year because we've become more macho, both physically and psychologically. Some of the players are much better this year than before - Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, myself.

"We've all stepped up and become stronger and more macho. Players have stepped up and driven the team forward. We can compete with everyone now."

Nasri has also expressed doubt over the fitness levels of the Barca team, insisting that they have a tendency to wilt towards the end of matches. Both of Arsenal's goals in the first leg came in the final quarter, with Robin Van Persie scoring on 78 minutes and Andrei Arshavin finding the net six minutes later.

"We came back in the first leg because physically they dropped," Nasri said. "This is because the Spanish league is not the same as the Premier League. In England, there is an intensity that isn't there in Spain."

That's the thing though, it's physically impossible to maintain pressure for say more than 25 minutes or so. You need good possession to complement that pressure (like Barcelona do). A member of the club's security staff was said to have received a 4cm (1.5in) stab wound in the incident at La Coruna in Galicia, northern Spain.

The incident happened last Friday but has only just been reported by the Cadena Sur news channel.

It is not clear if Mr Mourinho was aware of the attack at the time.

Cadena Sur says the security staff member did not realise he had been stabbed until he was on the team bus.

However, security cameras at the airport may have captured the incident, it says.

Quoting a source at Real Madrid, Cadena Sur says the club has increased security for its game against Racing Santander this weekend.

Some people are seriously disturbed.

^^wtf that's messed up.

Arsenal will wilt in Barcelona thunderstorm, says Lionel Messi

The Argentinean forward is hoping to guide his side through to the quarter-finals of Europe's top club competition - but to do so they must overturn a 2-1 deficit from the first leg.

And Messi has promised he and his team-mates will unleash all their attacking talents in a bid to secure a two-goal victory or better that will secure their safe passage into the last-eight.

'We don't have any other option than to attack them from the first minute,' he told Sport.

'I'm sure we will be coming like a thunderstorm from the first second, and if we score quickly in the first half I think we will break them down.

'We know we will have the ball a lot and we will create chances, however our opponents play.

'The important thing is to score when we get the opportunities.

'We know what we are capable of and we should be strong enough to beat Arsenal by more than one goal.'

Messi also rekindled talk of Barca taking Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas back to the Nou Camp in the summer.

Speculation linking the Catalan-born midfielder with a move to his hometown club has gone quiet of late.

But Messi stoked the flames again by saying: 'It’s hard to avoid talking about Cesc Fabregas as he’s the spine of the team.

'I could easily see him playing here [at Barcelona] again and being an important player for us.

'I’m sure he wants to return here and be part of Barcelona, like in his younger years, and I would be happy to see him here.'

liverpool, chelsea or arsenal

Liverpool or Arsenal

Liverpool = best fan base in the Premier League and the most history (struggling now though)

Arsenal = most potential and most beautiful football (very intricate passing)

Chelsea = money fueled divas with bandwagon fans (like Manchester City). of course both clubs have real fans but most their players' hearts are not with the club, just with the contract.

..................

watching Denilson makes me sick. no talent whatsoever. no defensive ability and no creative ability. he just receives the ball and plays it to another player who is not in a threatening position. he also often makes poor short passes to turn the ball over.

SUB ON AARON RAMSEY!!!! the kid has as much potential as Wilshere. but...he needs to be playing to live up to his potential, not sitting on the bench while Denilson runs the team into the ground

terrible. Wenger needs to have his job examined. he started Denilson. HE STARTED DENILSON.
right there, the amount of time Denilson is on = 0 goals. Arsenal does not score with Denilson playing. then, Rosicky comes on, not Aaron Ramsey. Rosicky is a slightly better version of Denilson but still awful.

Denilson and/or Rosicky = Arsenal dropping points

someone needs to drill that into Wenger's thick ****ing skull. sell those two phaggots and bring in some quality.

the refs were poor. this is the 2nd time ive ever complained about refs for Arsenal (the first being Arsenal against Everton when Saha was offside over a month ago). Arshavin should have been awarded a penalty and Bendtner's ball to Arshavin which resulted in him being 1 vs 1 with the keeper was clearly onside when it was ruled offside.

even with those poor calls, Arsenal still should have won if they actually want to win a trophy. Nasri, Wilshere, and Szczesny are the only players who want to win. the rest who played today are mentally weak.

weak mentallity and poor lineup decisions (playing Denilson and Rosicky)

these are Wenger's responsbility. the only real desire i have to keep Wenger is that he is essentially a 2nd father to Cesc and is the only reason Cesc is still at Arsenal. if Arsenal loses Cesc to Barca then Wenger needs to be thrown on the street. this is his team and he just cant get the important wins

the problem with of us atm is when when we have 2 or 3 key players out we struggle. thats been evident in most fa cup matches this season and the cc final. If rvp, cesc and walcott were playing today , we would have won. but thats our downfall.

hopefully man utd don't win tommorow and then we still have a great chance.

exactly because the other players do not have any fight in them.

Nasri, Fabregas, RvP, Szczesny, and Wilshere are the only players who act like they actually want to win. the other players are just half-ass schmucks trotting around the field like zombies. Denilson and Rosicky are the shining examples of this. they play like their half awake and Wenger does nothing to light a fire under their asses. some players (first 5 that i listed) are born and raised with that natural mentality to do what it takes, the others clearly lack it and Wenger obviously does not do anything to stir them up and make them play to win. its disgraceful to watch, especially because these people are paid to play football.

and we need to stop saying "oh, well if Utd loses here and here then we can win the title". stop relying on another team to falter. even if United does stumble (loss against Chelsea), Arsenal still cant capitalize on it (draw with Sunderland). we were gifted a chance to gain points on them and didn't take it (inb4 "oh but we still got a point today!"). same thing against Birmingham, Wenger just does not instill a winning mentality.

Arsenal plays like England. a lot of talent, but mentally are **** and have no drive to win. ****ing pathetic to watch (guess i understand now why QBKilla ****s on the English national team)

Lettuce be reality, without Fabregas, Arsenal are an average side at best. Yes Wilshere and Nasri are very good players, but Cesc's the spine of the team (sort of like Xavi and Barca, but they have Iniesta who fits into that role just as well, not to mention Messi always drops into midfield.).

Cesc = Arsenal's Xavi
Nasri = Arsenal's Iniesta

clearly Cesc and Xavi are preferred as the conductors of the offense but Iniesta and Nasri are good at it too even though they are both more attacking oriented midfielders and less tactically aware.

Nasri should have been played in the middle (he was played out on the side). towards the end of the match, when Rosicky came on for Diaby, Nasri was shifted into the middle. we all saw how much more threatening Arsenal was the last 15 minutes. putting Nasri out on the side and relying on Diaby and Denilson to create is just ridiculous. Nasri is a better player in the middle and it showed at the end of the match.

im still very disappointed Aaron Ramsey did not play. he is a younger version of Cesc and could have made passes to break open Sunderland's defense like Cesc does. instead, we had Denilson moving the ball either side-to-side or backwards.

Arsene Wenger on today's performance:

I’m very happy with the performance. I feel defensively we were very good, we gave a lot physically (but) we lacked a bit (of) creativity. Overall, we didn’t manage to score.

I cannot fault the players' attitude. It’s true that we had problems to find our fluency today (and) I put it down to the quality of their defending, they marked us man-to-man and it was difficult.

facepalm......what a losing attitude Wenger. this is only a small part of his post-match interview but for ****s sake...he said "I'm very happy with the performance". WHAT THE ****?!?! i love the style of football Arsenal plays because of Wenger but he just does not have that winning edge and does not buy players when its desperately needed. very very frustrating.

Players to be banned from wearing neck-warming snoods

Snoods - the beloved neck warmers of precious and pampered footballers - have been banned by the International FA Board.

Initially made famous by a contingent of Manchester City players, including forward Carlos Tevez, snoods have become popular across the country and in all forms of the game.

But Tevez and company will now have do without the popular fashion accessory.

"The IFAB agreed that in relation to Law 4 - Players' Equipment, the wearing of snoods should not be permitted," said football's law makers.

In February, former England captain and current Notts County manager Paul Ince condemned Premier League footballers who wear snoods.

"I'm sick and tired of seeing players, even when it's mild weather, wearing tights and these things [snoods] around their necks. It's not right," Ince told BBC Sport.

"Back in my time, and I sound old now, it was black and white boots and that was it.

"Now you've got snoods, people wearing headphones when they are doing interviews, which I find disrespectful, pink boots, green boots, you name it they've got it, tights - they'll be wearing skirts next."

In December, Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson added: "Real men don't wear snoods."

And writing on Twitter, United defender Rio Ferdinand said: "U won't see a Man Utd player wearing a snood."

Former Old Trafford midfielder Roy Keane is also not a fan.

He said of players wearing the snood: "They've all gone soft. I don't know how they do it and focus on the game, it's weird. That's the way the game's gone."

But Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who has a number of players in his squad that wear the neck warmer - including midfielder Samir Nasri - defended his players.

"I get advice from the medical team - that's why we let them wear them," the Arsenal boss told the club's website.

I'm not really sure why the FA would ban them. They are really insignificant.

If Manure players wore them, the FA would make them mandatory for all players.

BTW Busquets is a perfect example of the Barca "Total Football" philosophy, fits into pretty much any role.

Jack Wilshere potential doubt for Arsenal's Champions League return against Barcelona

Jack Wilshere could be a doubt for Arsenal's crunch Champions League return against Barcelona on Tuesday after suffering an ankle injury in the stalemate against Sunderland.

Wilshere played the full 90 minutes against Steve Bruce’s side but Arsene Wenger revealed afterwards that the teenager is the latest player to join the club’s growing injury list.

“He has an ankle problem but we will see how he responds to treatment tomorrow,” the Arsenal manager said in his post-match press conference. “He’ll be out of training maybe one or two days. Monday [he will] maybe be back. We’ll see.”

Wenger backed up the Cesc Fabregas’ assertion in his programme notes that the captain is close to a return but stopped short of saying the Spaniard will definitely feature at the Nou Camp.

Asked about which of his injured attacking players could play, the Frenchman said: “No [on Walcott]. No Van Persie. Fabregas has a chance.”

Wilshere’s potential unavailability is another worry for Arsenal, following their failure to further narrow the gap on Premier League leaders after a frustrating afternoon at Emirates.

“It’s a disappointment, yes,” said Wenger. “Today was the kind of game you want to win 1-0. We do not want to have things going against you, it happened. What we have to do now is focus on Tuesday night. We played our 46th game since the start of the season. I cannot fault the players' attitude.

“It’s true that we had problems to find our fluency today [and] I put it down to the quality of their defending, they marked us man-to-man and it was difficult. We missed some offensive players who [could] have an impact.

“I think we have now played 11 games - eight wins, three draws - so we are quite consistent with our results. Today’s result comes at a bad moment, I agree with you. Is it because psychologically that is such an impact on the championship? I don’t think so.

“I’m very happy with the performance. I feel defensively we were very good, we gave a lot physically [but] we lacked a bit [of] creativity. Overall, we didn’t manage to score. What is frustrating [is] that we have given everything in the end but we lacked a little but of sharpness in the final third.”

Wenger was angered that Arsenal were not awarded a penalty after Andrey Arshavin was pushed by Titus Bramble as he shaped to shoot, and then had a goal incorrectly ruled out for off-side by the assistant on the far side after bursting through on goal.

Wenger said he was “disgusted” by the decisions in a television interview afterwards but was less abrasive when he spoke to the written media.

“We had two decisions go against us today that punished us severely, especially the offside [against Arshavin],” the manager explained. “To win this game 1-0 today was important.

“What can you do? If you say to me it was offside, the only thing I can say is that if he is not offside.”

Pressed on whether Arshavin might have been better off going down from Bramble’s challenge, Wenger continued: “If he had gone down, you would have said he had dived. You cannot say on one side that the players do not have to dive and then if they do not go down, ‘why did you not go down?’

“I think he did right to stay up, but you do not need to know that Bramble is beaten. I do not need to be a specialist to know that Bramble is beaten at the moment he comes back.”

yes, hes only played a few matches since hes been healthy (for Cardiff) but a Ramsey trying to rediscover his "pre-injury" form is still better than Denilson. anyone is better than Denilson. he brings NOTHING to the table. Rosicky is very mediocre as well but slightly better than Denilson. it was a match against Sunderland...not a top quality team (they are decent this year though). Ramsey needs to start somewhere to regain his form.

Sagna is a solid right back but i still don't think he plays with the passion that the other players i listed do. i like Sagna a lot, my discontent was more directed towards the players who were lazy today and didn't seem like they had the slightest interest in winning (Bendtner, Denilson, Diaby, Rosicky).

Sunderland are a quality side, they have a lot of injuries going on but still they defended extremely well and pressed like we did at Chelski. I understand everyones frustration with Denilson, but I rather play him then Ramsey today. Ramsey is young..he broke his leg, its not easy to come back to premiership football. This isn't La Liga. It's a physical league. He was never going to play and if you know Wenger, its typical of him. If we were comfortable in the game, he would have come on.

A lot of my friends hate Bendy but for some reason I think he's quality (maybe cause he's cocky). That's just the way he plays. With Diaby, it really depends which Diaby shows up.

and sure..with a few reps I'll sign a shirt! (not srs)

Also Nani was lucky not to get a yellow, possibly even a red with that shameful display of a dive, and grabbing the ref. no hope in sight for united, as the bench is sh*t too.

BRB praying Wenger finds a way to continue screwing the pooch.

have u seen that challenge against Nani ? u dumb retards

he almost took his knee off fockin phaggit

yet he managed to get up, run over to the ref, complain - then only fall over AFTER gerrard taps his shoulder infront of the ref? how does that make sense?

if he was REALLY that bad he wouldnt have got up and ran to the ref.

It doesn't make up for the goals conceded but if that's only a yellow card then I would love to know what it makes to be sent off. Disgraceful decision by the referee. In before I'm a United fan boy, or was a legit tackle, or Nani dived.

Already had it in the form of David Luiz staying on against us, no penalty given for John Terry's handball and Vidic getting sent off. You'd think this would put the whole referees on United's side thing to bed but it wont.

Carragher's always been a cheat everyone in England knows that. Hopefully whatever Nani got it just bruising.

Luckily we could afford to lose to Liverpool and still lead the league - forgetting of course that Arsenal collapse around about now :)

Ok, I'm back after my week hiatus from posting after that CC disaster.

Arsenal losing the CC + drawing yesterday due to those decisions = this all week

and

but after that United v Liverpool game, I'm a little like

http://i47.tinypic.com/zjypt0.gif

Still feelsbadman.jpeg that we couldn't close it down to a 1 point gap, but picking up a point + 2 goals in the differential will have to do for now.

EDIT:

I'm clueless about Carrick...I just can't understand how a player his quality can get anywhere near Man United...mind is blown

Rafael was booked...I guess that is the reason

Carrick is in there because he's very good at positional play in defence - but apart from that he's a liability.

Rafael is often subbed when booked because he's got a temper.

Understandable. It seems neither one of us want to make it easy and just trade points back and forth. Missing Vidic today + Nani going off right before half was tough to deal with for you guys. Any word on the injury yet? Should have been a straight red but Dowd is about as inconsistent as anything. He tries very hard to keep players on the field when that's not his job.

isn't that like 4 defeats in a row at anfield, don't know how it could be a fluke loss at 3-0 down in injury time, utd were well beaten there today, would have been interesting in the cup game had webb not totally bottled it too

what had that to do with anything, 90mins two teams, anyones game, liverpool accumulated more points two years ago than utd did in winning many of their titles

if you are using that logic then everytime liverpool beat blackburn its a fluke

your team were well beaten today

woy hodgson was in charge of liverpool in fairness for the first 21 games and had liverpool in the bottom 2 at one stage, losing to northampton town at anfield, since kenny taking over at liverpool they have got 17 points from 8 games while utd have 15 points during the same time period

what about Rafael tackle, that was exactly the same as gerrards in the cup game and he saw red...........

Well, the only thing said I see in terms of commentary is that tackle looks like karma for the Rooney incident. It's rough justice, but justice none-the-less. Not saying it's right, especially when you look at Nani's injury, but that's what some are running with.
