how the fuk is harper not #1?

He's 18 and has not played any minor league ball is the only thing I could guess. Harper is obviously the top prospect in baseball

I don't see how Odorizzi makes it but Duffy or Dwyer didn't. I think the list is pretty strange. I am looking forward to Law's list.

only 1 Astro made the list...

but it's okay, we traded all our farm system talent years ago for guys that were supposed to win us a ring now. Then we traded away Berkman and Oswalt for 2nd-tier prospects that might start in the MLB one day. Things are on the up and up. And there's always the rockets to cheer for, Yao will make a full recovery and stay healthy, we'll resign him. I'm sure the texans will finally the make playoffs next season, Kubiak really is the key to this team I hope he gets another extension. It's so great being a houston fan in this day and time it makes me rrauahghahg FUUUUU WHERES MY GUN

Don't worry. Your dumbass owner is selling the franchise.

Ha Jarrod Parker's been the only top 50 prospect from the Dbacks for the past like 3 years. All of their other top prospects have been called up and have helped lead the team to whole lot of losing. At least they have the #3 and #7 pick in the upcoming draft to load up on arms since the pitching staff is loaded with mediocrity. At least I can look forward to another top 3 pick in the 2012 draft!

All of these lists are just anybody's best guess. Duffy and Dwyer could be in there easily and Odorizzi and Myers could drop out. Its never an exact science

should be able to get 2 big time prospects with those picks in this draft. I dont think theres been a draft ever with college arms like this. Theres like 3 potential #1 starters and then a bunch of #2s. Guys that will be up quickly.

The conclusion I came to after looking at the list is...

how long before the Royals take over baseball?

Yeah because every great player came in and dominated as a rookie. Shed some more tears, that won't bring him or Lee back.

In b4 being unable to afford prospects once they develop into studs, so none of them remain on the team in a few years (welcome to the brewers basically)

Unaware about the situation in KC and I really can't blame you. Dayton Moore has been underspending his budge the last few season to stockpile cash to resign all of this talent. Thats the plan anyway, who knows if the organization has the patience to execute it, especially after how bad the 2011 season will be.

That's what I like to here, I don't really pay attention to the mlb draft outside of the really big names. I just hope the kid from TCU falls to the third pick, love the school and he's a beast.

Prospects are certainly a crap shoot and I agree with what you are saying. My best guess is that over half of the Royals' prospects will washout.

The thing is that Duffy and Dwyer are both much further along developmentally than Odorizzi. Plus, they are both LHSP, which I think gives them added value. But it is not like these lists matter very much. But for Royals' fans, it is really all we have. 2011 is going to be really ugly on the MLB level.

if Purke goes #2, Cole will be there at #3. Purke I would say is more of a sure thing but Cole's ceiling is a potential top 5 pitcher in the the league. Dude can throw smoke.
