View Full Version : Some advice on my diet please

Firstly I've learned some invaluable information on this site, for instance I never knew that there are good fats to consume.

I've been using livestrong.com to help count my calories.

last week my average was

Fat 58g Carbs 200g Protein 156g

I'm 5ft 7, 73kg with a body fat percentage of between 20 and 22%. I'm looking to consume about 2000 calories per day and looking to lower my body fat percentage.

Does the above macros look right?

What's your maintenance caloric intake? You should be consuming 10% to 20% below maintenance when cutting.

Your intake of fat looks slightly low. I'd shoot for at least 0.45 (to 1.0) grams per pound of bodyweight, which equates to at least 72 grams of fat in your case.

Protein intake is sufficient.

Carb intake is dependent on preference and target calories.

My maintenance is about 2400 calories.

I do get a bit confused about how much carbs to eat
